There was nothing about this kick that was good. No real hip rotation, no quad snap, no balance. He didn't even kick through the leg, he kicked at it.

You fucking idiot. Muhammad Ali was good because his technique was good. Even moreso for Bruce Lee. His technique and skill were amazing and that's why he was good. "What works" is proper technique. Shitty technique gets shitty results most of the time. It was a shitty kick, period. Oh, and there is no such thing as hitting someone properly and doing no damage. You can hit improperly and do damage, but you can do a hell of a lot more with proper mechanics. You don't know shit.

And logic has everything to do with the fact that good technique produces better results, which was my original point.
