I am new to dxing so a video showing how to set up a radio like the Anytone 5555 and how to use it would be great for me.

Of course I vote for more videos of vintage rigs but they will likely be less popular than vids of newer radios. Plus you know I'm biased towards to older stuff. LOL!

Technical stuff such as receiver sensitivity of various radios would be interesting if you have a variable generator than can turn down to fractions of a microvolt. Wish I had a variable generator that was capable of that.

I prefer the older gear also for sure, but I do like showing new and first release products too.

I do have some decent new products to show in the New Year.

I'm on the look out for some decent test gear , but like everything ,money is needed first for the hum drum things in life first.

I plan on showing much of my collection of vintage CB/Ham gear in 2012 also, as you know this seems to have a big following too......cont'

Glad to hear of your good Palco experience. I agree it should be a DX machine of a antenna. Hopefully they will legalize midband. If so maybe we will be able to make contact there someday if mother nature allows.

@m0ogy I have plans for more videos but I haven't been feeling well the past couple of weeks. Planning on a multi segment repair video of a 1960's U.S. made Lafayette tube radio with the rare Lafayette tube mic pre-amp/compressor unit add on. If that turns out well I have some others I will do the same with through the year.

Great vid Dave as always I look forward to what you put on youtube. Well said about cb radio as this is where I started and still love it today, I really hope they do legalise the mid band it will be so awesome, imagine if they had done it all them years ago though, would it have been good or would it have spoiled it like the 27/81 MMMMMMMmmmmm. Regarding reviews I love to see the ssb radio's cobras ham internationals as well as the more modern sets etc but you do a good job on all your vids 73s

I know you have alot of old cb's Dave so it would be nice to see a few more radios out the closet. Keep up the good work as you have done alot for cb and ham in general. Was nice to chat with you on the phone the other day so keep doing what your doing despite what some people think. Hopefully am/ssb will be legalised on mid band next year and i'll hear you on '385 soon. Best 73's

hi dave i enjoy all your videos mate especially the older radios that come in a box in mint condition mybe next year you and some club members can do a video on how to set up a radio station correctly , feed line quality , interference problems and cures , how to make a air choke , common problems on coax feed lines . and antenna reviews on ham and 11 meters keep up your impeccable work mate all the best to you and your family for xmas and have a healthy and happy 2012 . regards mark

Nice video Dave. Vintage CB reviews are always of interest to me as I was 14 in 1981 when UK CB became legal. I grew up with CB and came back to 11 Metres a few years ago.

I have noticed an increase in interest in CB radio recently and I hope that it continues. I have worked more DX on 11 Metres than I have on the amateur bands and long may it continue.

Yes I do get a lot of interest in the old gear and I do have a large collection that I've bought over the years to supply samples to show.

I'm sure CB Radio will never be as big as in the 80's ,but it is gaining in interest.
