  • Thanks! My Timex had instructions for like 4 different types of watches, I thought I'd have to take it to a jeweler. Very helpful! Now I can enjoy my Christmas gift. :)

  • Thanks! I just bought a Timex, and their instructions are lousy. Your pictures helped much more than their words.

  • Dude! What you been smoking? Can I have some please?

  • wtf you look like my twin mind=blown

  • cheers dude

  • thanks, but beware of newer watches, they have a tube insert as well as the pin. Be careful not to lose the tube, you'll need it for putting link back together.

  • Thanks, Didn't think it would be this easy. I had to use a tiny finishing nail as a punch as well...

  • thank you , worked on a new Seiko that I was taking to a jeweler. then i saw you

  • Thanks dude

  • I got 2 watches and was going to take them to the jeweler to have him make the band smaller. You helped me save money!! Thank you!!!!!!

  • Thanks buddy

  • Thanks buddy :)

  • todays episode of how to do it

  • Thank You that really helped

  • i dont know, i would leave this to the professionals. i just tried the push pin/ hammer method on my tag heuer f1, and the pin became warped inside of the link... bringing it to a jeweler tomorrow.

  • @kahuana310 SOOOOOOOO TAG`S SUCK?

  • Thanks! Worked like a charm. I used a small nail and a tin-opener as a mallet!! :)

  • thank you

  • Great instructions. Worked like a charm. Thanks!

  • Hey, Kid. You taught me at 54 years old how to do something. Keep it up. I used a push pin on an Invicta band.

  • serious question: wont the link fall out, even after hammered back into place??

  • @jucedoff nope, that's why you use a mallet, because it fits nice and snugly in there

  • @SerbianCobra thanks, i managed to do it

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you very much, saved me a trip to the jewelry store and $10. Thanks again!

  • why do British people always sound constipated???

  • @pimpfluid69 We dont always :(

  • the roober side of the mallet

  • I used a small pin and a hammer the pin bent, then i used the first link i got out to knock out and in the rest of the links lol...

  • i dont understand why u have made this video. tomorrow u'll make how to remove your shoes

  • Excellent video. No BS, just the facts. This is why you have over 93 thousand views in such a short time. Thanks again, Jeff (California)

  • How do you get interested in this sort of thing at 17?

  • @stupidjunk878 Woud ya rather he get interested in smashing bus stop windows and stealing stuff, instead?

  • I CANT UNDERSTAND U LOL

  • ur a fuckhead

  • Thanks Billy I couldn't of done it without ya

  • Thanks :)

  • Great video mate!

  • This helped me out a lot! i just saved $8.00 doing myself when its so easy! thanks for showing us how. :)

  • You remind me of Dudley Moore :]

  • nice video buddy, saved me a lot of time thanks

  • Great tutorial young lad. I used a screw driver and a pocket knife.

  • thanks man, btw i used a needle but I'd like to advise that a strong one is needed ... (taking the sharp part of it out is a good idea too)

  • thanks alot man :)

  • Thanks for the easy video

  • Thanks a bunch!

  • Good vid, fixed two of my watches I got off the internet.

What I did instead of using that special mallet and poker thing...

I used a pin with a large end, and cut the pin close to the end, which means when I was hammering away at the links, the pin wouldn't bend because it was short and solid. It's just a tip to anyone having trouble with it.

  • Thanks, DickSnuggler! Real helpful.

  • Thanks! I finally adjusted my watch

  • Very good!

  • Thanks I just removed a link off my girls watch.

  • Thank you. Your video helped me shorten my watchband. I used an ice pick like tool shaped kinda like a dental probe .. put the watchband on the vice, and hammered the pin out. I don't think a paper clip would work because you have to hammer it pretty hard and a paper clip is kinda flimsy .. but it might work. Thanks again.

  • Best Instructions on line. I didn't even need fancy tools. I used a paperclip bent near the end and beat it through with the handle of my pocket knife. To avoid scratches when putting the pin back in, I just squeezed it up against the corner of my desk, pushing the pin even with the band. Thanks much!

  • thank you!!!! it worked!

  • Thanks for this, I just removed a link in my new Croton using a child's toy hammer, a paper clip and your video, lol, having no idea how to do it previously. Great tutorial video :)

I just bought a new watch and had no idea how to adjust it

    Thanks

  • thanks!

  • ur awesomee

  • Are you still asleep telling this? ;o)

  • Thanks. You're method worked a treat. I used a small hammer & a tack / small nail to tap through the pin. Cheers.

  • Thank you! I just fixed my Fossil watch using a push-pin and a hammer.

    YOU ROCK!

  • Good job!
