Hey Steve. Great amplifiers. I work with pro sound stuff though. I'm a sound technician for a local audio firm. Behringer stuff breaks VERY fast. If you're looking for a serious set up grab up a signal processor like a dbx Drive rack you'll get unreal control. A subharmonic synthesizer, and a short delayed car stereo especially yours or chickens would be take any SPL competitors head off. I run a 7 foot tall stack of JBLs and it's a mean 135 dB.

Hi friend, In the future, if you're going from unbalanced to balanced inputs, Behringer and other companies makes a stereo direct boxes for about 30 or 40 bucks. the berries are decent mixers, but certainly not worth driving a crown amp with. they are kinda unreliable in the long run, thermal issues mostly. and avoid clipping them, they sound very nasty when they clip.

Steve, I commented on this video when it came out, and now It's true. I'm getting a Behringer 8 channel mixer.

And you should also get something like an AirPort Express so you can wheel your computer around and still play music through your new setup. Or play it though any other computer too without switching any cables.

Build yourself a nice Tapped or Folded Horn. :). Don't putz around with a traditional alignment (Sealed, Ported). I replaced my 18" IXL 18 in a 14 cu foot enclosure tuned to 15hz a with a single 15" Dayton DVC in a Folded Horn (Tuba HT). I'd need 5 18's in the EBS/LLT to come close to the performance. Efficiency is much more important in home/pro audio unlike Car Audio which heavily relies on cabin gain.

Hey steve I would have just gotten a 1000 watt power mixer like the Yamaha EMX512SC. I'm a professional musician and use that with a Yamaha MG166CX 16 Channel Mixer and 4 of those same power amps for gigs all the time and they work wonderful. 2 amps are for 2 2x18 cabs and the other 2 for 6 1x15 cabs and 4 2x15 cabs all of them are yamaha and then that 1000 watt power mixer for 2 2x12 cabs. So yeah I think the power amps would be better with the subs and the power mixer for the mids and highs

I like the crowns, you need a electronic crossover for your highs unless your amp has them built in. I have a Bose 3600 watt rms amp with a electronic crossover for my 4 15" and my pride and joy Yorkville DJM806 mixer board. For those of you who don't understand I'm talking Pro Audio.

Steve, well the way i see it is if you get 10 of the crown XTI 4000 amps you will have 40000 watts ridiculous i know, but for the next project you can find a way to put 40000 watts in your new car with like 6 18inch subwoofers, with mids and highs that sound like they scream at you when you play your music. haha it took me awhile to think of this.

Hey, my dad has a house system that i want you to blow out of the water so i can show him. Here is what you'd be up against: 4 12" rear, 2 18" subs, 2 15" front and 2 6.5" in the center. He has a real strong pre amp "2500w" and a older real strong amp for the subs. I kid you not, you can hear the bass, highs and mids from like 2 blocks away with all the windows closed..makes the lights in the house go dim when the bass hits... but to me it doesn't sound good as car audio... want more info?

yo, i work at a local dj shop in LA, we have had these amps a couple times, and never had any problems with them. these are excellent amps. all internal crossover, compressor, and you can hook up a lan connection and eq it from anywhere. this is the test video for them, they dropped it from 2ft, 4, and 6.5 twice.
