Punk/Oi, who cares~In my reckoning they were always foremost a punk band who were later categorised as Oi by ppl who prob shoulda known better.Even the earliest "Punk" compilation albums released in the early 80's often featured P&TTTBs together with Buzzcockc, the Damned, et al. It was only later they were grouped with Oi bands. My prob wif Oi is its racist connotations when considering bands like Skrewdriver and other Skin bands.Anyway, great post~"The Mating Sounds of South American Frogs"..

Umm, not sure! When I used to go watch them many MANY moons ago (remember the Alhambra, the Richmond and the Buccaneer boys...?) I suppose we considered them punk, but there were as many skinheads in the then small audience (small venues, small audiences)as punks, so I perhaps if we are being purist about it then they were/are Oi! Perhaps...?
