But I think you're looking beyond my point.
I never said the alternative was better. (It's not.) But I think you would agree these people are not just cheering because they avoided the alternative. Their adoration for Obama is being carried out for its own sake. They're loudly and voluntarily celebrating a warmonger (amongst other things).
Why celebrate the victory of a man who has clearly stated that he plans to continue the Iraq War indefinitely and who plans to enhance the war in nearby areas? Why celebrate the continued mass slaughter of Arabs? Why celebrate a man who vowed to hold companies that helped spy on us accountable, then betrayed us? Why celebrate a man who won't stand up to destruction of the dollar by deliberate inflation?
Murder, war, government spying, and theft are things to condemn, not celebrate.
is this a hypothetical question? the answer is: because the alternative was worse. we don't live in an ideal world, and each of us is responsible for the choices we make. if you don't like obama's policies, then YOU may run for president. welcome to america.
