haha ohman. I THOUGHT you might have seen zeitgeist based on some things you may have said or wrote in earlier posts. so weird since I just watched it for like the third time yesterday. Its great, but you're right its a little stretched. I actually prefer the sequel Adendum. So glad the truth is finally being exposed en masse.
Even if it's exposed, I doubt they'll hear it... Sheep are easy to keep in line... all you need is one crack of the whip...
People are like cattle, it's hard for them to think on their own and the need for acceptance is too overwhelming... if you want to argue otherwise people read about the experiments done on "Group Think" first
i read in a book that Ra was the god of the sun and Horus is the son of Ra and Horus was mummified by the god of the underworld or the undead... something like that... o.O
Well if memory serves Osiris is the God of the dead and underworld... Ra and Horus should both be solar deities and if anyone killed Horus it would be Seth... I know he killed Osiris and severed his body... I'm not sure... I'm more a fan of Norse Mythology... either way
so... the Bible doesn't say anything about 3 wisemen or Christ being born on December 25. Christian tradition has added those things, so they really shouldn't be involved in a discussion about the Bible. also, crucifixion was a common form of capital punishment during the Roman rule, so regardless of any parallels from Paganism, it's not out of the question that Jesus (and many other people during that timeperiod) were crucified... just a few of the problems i had w/ your arguement...
Do you know why it was a form of capital punishment... because of the religious background of the Empire... The suns death was over the Cross constellation which is why that was translated into punishment...
The Roman Governing system was closely intermingled with their religious beliefs, I'm not even sure what your trying to say with that...
And even if the birth date isn't in the bible, it's irrelevant because it came about, and the dates origins are clearly from Paganism...
My point isn't that the Bible by itself is not the wonderfully Holy thing it is. The religion didn't come about to free people, it has had a blood stained passed from even the conception of the book in which they cling to. It was born to try and organize the religiously torn country, so it wasn't as pure an intent as people like to think
Constantine has an agenda, and it wasn't God bound, and even though he only over saw it, I'm sure he had some sway
