They could have also done things that start with the letter "M". In this quotation from the book:`"They were learning to draw,' the Dormouse went on, yawning and rubbing its eyes, for it was getting very sleepy; `and they drew all manner of things--everything that begins with an M--'`Why with an M?' said Alice.`Why not?' said the March Hare."
I most certainly agree. I never much cared for Zoe in the first place, but now she looks ridiculous. What with her hair curled and all that. Why can't people just leave well enough alone?
Thanks for asking! I'll be happy to tell you. The Disney movie version inverts the message of the book. The book was among other things a satire on 'normal' society, whereas the Diney animated movie actually endorses comformity (especially at the end).
Disney certainly made some strange and daring masterpieces in that era (Pinocchio for example) but their treatment of Alice misses the mark IMHO.
I disagree. I think Disney was dead-on with their portrayal of the Red Queen (who was based on an old school marm) among other characters. The Dodo was Lewis Carol. Alice represented childhood. Disney's version was more about a dream world and less about a political commentary, however.
OH...MY...GOODNESS...THIS IS THE MOST EPIC THING EVER. Grover as the Mad Hatter? GENIOUS!

I recall reading somewhere that for this upcoming season, they'll be using the smaller Zoe puppet used here.
Garrettk41 2 years ago 2
They did. And IMO, they didn't need to it. The Zoe puppet they used this season looked so ugly. She looks cute as a mouse though.

Yeah. But, the good thing is they realized what a mistake they made, and are curently using the old Zoe puppet.
antsamthompson9 1 year ago
Really? I didn't know that.
Garrettk41 1 year ago
Yep. Look at my favorites and watch Happy Aniversery Sesame Street. They used the old Zoe puppet there.

All of them look so cute as animals, especially Elmo.
