at least we scored a goal, for the past two world cup qualifiers mexico came to play us in The United States and they Lost 2-0 twice, we went to the Azteca for the past two qualifiers and lost 2-1 twice for the 2006 and 2010 world cups

Israel Castro's goal was the most beautifully scored out of this entire match! Man that was a rocket! I love seeing Howard's face after he realizes he failed in blocking Sabah's 2nd goal lol US will have to beat Mexico in Azteca if they ever wanna be recognized as the dominant force in CONCACAF.Not in this lifetime though..keep trying US maybe you'll get a win someday :)

The Officaiting in this game was horrible, Mexico was allowed to do whatever they wanted to do and the USMNT was forced to let them. I watched this game from beginning to end and me tell that was by far the worst officiating I have ever seen and I'm sports meaning I watch a lot of sports and I've seen Officials call one sided games but this game was by far the worst. I mean last I checked the ref has the power to suspend the game if fans are throwing things on the field and this ref did nothin

i think the usa sits back way too much. they think 1 goal is enough. if you sit in your half all game it is like inviting the other team to have at it. they need to keep looking to score till they are ahead by at least 2 goals

Agree on the big picture... Why oh why the USA team plays exactly the same way with Spain, Brasil and... México? We should feel flattered? Let's face it, USA does not know how to play different, can not handle the football, doesn't have the players or talent to do so... at least after Donovan retires from football, when he does the USA "game" or style will follow. I mean, watching a USA game is one of the most borring things you can invest time on...

i agree they do have a tendancy to hold on to 1-0 or 2-0 scores which is VERY dangerous to do esp against a team like mexico with a lot of long range shooters

@breakfastponny It just depends. The USA's style of sitting deep works if their attacking players are clinical, confident and creative, which they are. However, one of them, Donovan, was suffering from H1N1, although you wouldn't know it based on his assist. However, you could tell in situations where he was dispossessed on Mexico's first and beaten on their second. It makes a difference. Sometimes sitting back isn't good, but sometimes it can stifle a team who focus on possession, like Mexico.

mexico's two goals in this game were luckier than any of the USA's goals against Spain in the Confederations Cup. Much luckier. After Juarez got the ball slid away from him by Jay Demerit, I bet every Mexican in the world instantly thought the ball would roll into touch, but instead right to sabah's feet where he took a blind-folded shot. never even looked at the goal. lucky bastard. their luck will run out before the 2010 Qualifying campaign is over.

not only does mexico's wins come at just the Azteca, but they also can only manage to win BY 1 GOAL. narrow 2-1 victories over the USA and T&T are the reason mexico hasn't been eliminated from CONCACAF qualifying. they will be soon though. we know it :]
