I think that Regis did a great job hosting New Year's Rockin' Eve, but personally, I would rather see Dick Clark and Regis Philbin host the show together rather than see Ryan Seacrest who is, IMO an overrated pretty boy and as for Fergie, she's overrated ever since she joined Black Eyed Peas, but I do love her song Clumsy and I loved her with Wild Orchid and Kids Incorporated

At the end of 2004, Clark was unable to appear on the program while recovering from his stroke, Regis Philbin substituted as host that year. The following year Clark returned to the show and Ryan Seacrest served as a primary host. Ever since 2005, the show was named "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest".

Love this year,the closing of 2004 and the entire 2005 were hands down the best year of the decade,heck I would go back if I can,even if it means Bush is President again. They didn't name it "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest" until 12/31/08. This clip is still from "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve 2005" even if Regis Philbin took his place.

Here is now what I know. On New Year's Eve 2006, even though Ryan Seacrest helped host the show, it was still named "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve" on 12/31/05. December 31, 2008 was, and still is when the show is now named "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest" on ABC.
