To be fair, Murdoch did not endorse Obama, although it was strange to see him say the things he did. His reference to the endorsement in the NY times seems to indicate that he supports Obama over Hillary, but not necessarily over McCain. Notice that he only mentioned Obama's stance on education, and clearly avoided his many stances that are at odds with his views, including the Iraq war. It's very unsettling to me, because Murdoch does not do things like this without a specific reason in mind.
He said he personally likes Obama, and wants to see if he walks the walk. I don't know. FOX news is partly responsible for Bush's win in 2000 when the election was too close to call.

consider that FOX is more of a business than a news source in many senses. Murdoch is smart, he may hedge his bets, but from a business perspective he may want Obama to win. I think Outfoxed (maybe it was The Young Turks, not sure) said that the FOX network hates defending the republicans in power, and much prefers being the attack dog it was during the democrat-controlled Clinton era. He's saying these things so that people won't rightly suspect him of favoring the right wing base. His Wall Street Journal is a sponser of the Quinnipiac polls. The Rasmussen polls are under the control of Scott Rasmussen, a Conservative. I put very little faith in polls influenced by people like this.

To be fair, Murdoch did not endorse Obama, although it was strange to see him say the things he did. His reference to the endorsement in the NY times seems to indicate that he supports Obama over Hillary, but not necessarily over McCain. Notice that he only mentioned Obama's stance on education, and clearly avoided his many stances that are at odds with his views, including the Iraq war. It's very unsettling to me, because Murdoch does not do things like this without a specific reason in mind.

He said he personally likes Obama, and wants to see if he walks the walk. I don't know. FOX news is partly responsible for Bush's win in 2000 when the election was too close to call.
Could Murdock manipulate 2008 too? He's well within his means to.

It just doesn't make any sense. First of all, Murdoch calls himself a "libertarian". If that's true, why would he like Obama's education plan, which undoubtedly involves increased spending by the federal government? Furthermore, he has admitted on camera that he manipulates his media outlets to garner support for Bush policy like the Iraq war. And Fox News continues to berate Obama with ludicrous insults like the Baby Mama fiasco. I don't know what to think other than that I don't trust it.

Murdoch supports Obama. So much for Fox's conservative bias. That, like every other liberal talking point, is a lie. However, I can prove that CNN is liberal. CNN LIED by saying that we're in a recession when we're not. A recession is two consecutive negative quarters. We've yet to have one. That PROVES CNN's liberal bias. Furthermore, the media are covering up all of Obama's gaffes. Obama thinks that there are more than fifty states. He's an idiot. Don't bother responding; I'll ignore it.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you. Even if CNN is "liberal" and Fox is not "conservative," is that the most important issue that we should be concerned about with our media landscape? Or, rather, should we be more worried about the influence which politics, corporations, and money in general influence all media, regardless of political leaning? I think the answer is clear.
