I was there for the El Rey shows, and it was awesome. In the middle of a song, Lucinda forgot the lyrics, but it didn't matter, because everyone started singing the song, and she picked up where we were in the song. Like I said awesome.
@TheBeastlyBeatitude calling women 'dumb bitches' is such a cop out, women only 'play' dumb with mysoginists like you cause they know if they display their true intelligence and strength of spirit, men like you
will be threatened and eventually the women will be punished. you can't HANDLE a woman like Lu W or me.
This song reminds me of Matthew Sweet's 'Girlfriend' album, especially the song "Evangeline." If you like Lucinda, you check out that album. She hired Matt to help with harmonies on her latest record.
Agreed to all above. These musicians are over the top, in a field that regularly gets passed over... try to tell the unknowns, and still get raked over the coals.. I guess that why I'm still drawn to these artists...
Lucinda rules the truth that storytellers live...

"somekind of savior singing the blues, a derelict in your duct tape shoes" - I listen for that line every time... so classic.

This video is a gem. Rock and roll. What does she say at the end? "yeah that's what I'm talkin about" ? I guess she was pleased with the performance.

I love Lucinda Williams -- she doesn't mess around. She goes for the jugular.

she reminds of the early 70's stones, the faces, neil young, dylan and the band and of course Gram parsons.
