Beautiful insight into the psychology of the horse.

He sees a large herd all going in one direction. Clearly they know best, and he is lonely.

He has joined the herd, but notices that they are not horses. They are not natural things! They comprise people but aren't people. But they are a herd! And they are going a nice speed. They must all have the same idea, a lonely horse doesn't have a better idea. Run with them!

Clearly the herd would be better led by a handsome stallion such as himself!
