We were stood in the Popular Stand and the whole place went berserk. Brilliant. The best bit was watching Matthew Elliot's reaction on the Sky screens - clearly not great at hiding his disappointment, he was almost in the foetal position. :o)

It was a play-off match- in league we have a six-team system- between St Helens and Bradford (then the two most successful sides in the comp). The winner got to the final at Old Trafford. I think Saints went on to win the lot that year.

Yeah, known as a semi-final eliminator. I don't know if the rule existed then but now (or last year) the team who finished first and second played off and got another chance if they lost. They would then play the winner of the winner of the match against 3rd and 4th and 5th and 6th. If that makes sense (5th played 6th and 3rd played 4th the winners played each other and the winner of that played the loser of 1st and 2nd.)

This was a Super League Grand Final Qualifier, with the winner going direct to the Super League Grand Final while the loser has to play another qualifier match. Saints went on to win the throphy.

It was a normal league game between St Helens in white and Braford in Blue, Bradford were winning 10 -11 and just needed to hold on for 10 seconds, by the time the try was scored the clock was on 0:00.

why was joynt there to take that pass? look at the start of the video, he jogs forward as they are playing the ball and is about 20 metres ahead of the play when west gets the ball. why did he do this? i've never seen it happen before and if they had put a kick in he would have been offside.
