Hi! So does it have a mk3/mk4 2.0 115hp 8v engine?? I am thinking of swapping one of those engines into my mk2 1.8 8v jetta. Is it a difficult job? Like what other parts will I need for this, like transmission, engine mounts, etc? And is it gonna cost a lot? Thanks :)
@TheVdubFire Hey there, i used a 1997 MK3 2.0 8v engine. It was dirt cheap to do. Its one of the easyest swaps to do. No need of mounts or anything. The engine drops right in. The block is almost identicle to the 1.8 8v. I ran mine on the stock digifant 2 that the old motor that i had was in, the 1.8 8v. Id recommend swapping it with the OBD1 or OBD2 wiring harness and ecu you get off the parts car. I personally like OBD2 better, just for turboing. You need someone who can work with wires.
