@canuckaholic91 I'm in Victoria, so close enough. You will have an easier time of fitting the BEAMS into your ST162 because your car came with a 3S from the factory so mounts etc could be used without issue. As for wiring, check the BEAMS forum on MR2.com. There are a few guys on there with BEAMS in their ST162's. GL!
@GTTC20 Well it is a Dyno Dynamics Dynanometer which if you aren't familiar with is known to read notoriously low and has the nickname 'heartbreaker' because of this. My friend who was at the dyno session rounded my numbers up to 160hp which is about right for stock. BTW, my exhaust is 2.5" mandrel bent from the stock header back. Also, FWD & RWD drivetrain losses are different. FWD is approx. 15-18% loss and RWD is 22-25% loss. In my case, 197hp crank - 15-18% = 167 / 161hp atw.
hehe...I'm Canadian, what else am supposed to say?! LOL
You got it, the front is lower because it's strapped down on the dyno wheel. I don't have time at the moment to install suspension and other JDM goodness. Hopefully next summer.
The swap was done by my friend who runs a shop. The engine and trans mounts had to be modified / custom as well as a coolant hardline (rad hose opening on wrong side), shift linkage ends modded and of course wiring (huge job).
Other stuff needed: An MSD tach adapter, 1MZFE intake w/ MAF, shorter alternator belt (A/C removed due to it not lining up)
hey you got BC plates, in vancouver? i'm looking to swap a beams in my st162, any advice?

1.8L 16v 7AFE with over 345,xxx km but it burned lots of oil & didn't have any ballz! I'm pretty happy with my engine choice!

PS: Yes, changing the ECU is a must because the two engines/cars are completely different. My friend did an awesome wiring job!

Did you seriously just say "Not bad eh?" hahaha.
Wagon sounds/looks good man. The front looks lower...did you lower it already or is it because it's on the dyno wheel?
