Hiya, The first is The curlew, the second is Palmers gate and the third is Kit O'Connor....thanks for the invite to your session - but we are in Australia so its a bit far:) Next time we are around that way we will be sure to!
Great tunes and playing, but I'm confused - is the first tune 'The Curlew' or 'Palmer's Gate'? Drop in at Sandy Bell's, Edinburgh Monday night or Plockton Inn, Plockton on Thursdays - you'll be very welcome!
Aha "Trouble in the kitchen" i see beautiful you guys are awesome an inspiration to keep me practising cmon ado let er rip yahoo yungaburra 07 woodford o7 o8 i'm a groupie
Wow, tunes are great...musicians are great...it all sounds so effortless! I just started irish/cape breton fiddling a year or so ago, so i know how difficult trad is...I wish i could do my triplets and gracenotes as smoothly as these fiddlers! Whenever i do them they sound forced :( ah well, i guess its just practice, practice and finding as much trad as possible on the net (Irish music is still a novelty in Okinawa, unfortuately)! Thanks for the upload!
Its lovely that you have shared the video with all of your students. But playing trad takes a massive effort - Its unusal to make a living, we do put in a huge amout of time, just for the love of the tunes! It is fun though.
i'm a high school orchestra teacher in ny....i've shared this video with ALL of my students as tool to use their instrument to just, Have Fun...thnks!
Oustanding talent. I was amazed when I found this video. As a musician a can appreciate the effort and talent involved. Keep up the excellent work and send us some more.

Does anyone know the name of the second tune? I've heard it several times before but I still don't know the name and it's hard to learn only by listening...
Godamn, that was awesome. Came across this video looking for anyone doing Micahel Coleman and was spellbound. Wish i could play like that but its still a joy to hear it!
By the way, is Katie Bee single? Tell her there's this really cool 6'4" drop dead handsome box player with the mind of Charlie Parker, Albert Einstein and Billy Connolly rolled into one and modest to boot :o)
