@TheWildchief i think this song is connected to a movie. that's why its kind of doris day /broadway. in those songwriting says the caledar was used to represent life. spring months were youth and fall months meant approaching death and melacholy over a life ruined by mistakes and lost love, The "may december marriage"this song is about having the guts to take a chance on love.love and sex were suppresed in the 50's there was no birth control pill.Abortion was illegal and pregnancy was a shame.

April Love is a beautiful song and I am sorry to say I cannot find the movie anywhere. I would love to have it even for just the story alone. This song was one of Pat Boone's best. In the movie even better.
