My Zune HD runs at 700 MHz and the iPad runs at 1000 MHz. The iPad is like 6 times bigger and only runs 300 MHz faster....... Fail! It will never replace laptops because it lacks the computing power, and it will never replace PMP's because its to big. Its an outcast.

@quatzi08 3rd person? Thats a first person shooter dude. Plus, it has a joystick, just a digital one that the game gives you. Takes some time getting used to, but its really not much different from how you use a gameboy.

okay, control wise, it's good, but not as reflex freindly as a PSP, and the graphics are still behind PSP standards. I wouldn't want to play games on it without a proper controller.

I don't think this will replace laptop but its cool for business trips or vacation. At home if you have a badass laptop I would use laptop. You can't put this thing in your pocket so you would not have time to use at a movie theatre.

omg gameloft has just made a bad copy of halo(N.O.V.A) and when he said that they could hit multiplie enemyes that is just stolen from fallout 3 (V.A.T.S)

@Konyo116 Not true. The Apple TV has yet to live up to its success and Cube was a failure that was later taken off the market; Apple didn't fair well in the 90's either.

its annoying to touch the small ipod-touch while playing, so i guess its even more annoying to move your hand over this bigger screen instead of just push some buttons.

and again we have to controll games in way they are not meant to.. i want a d-pad and at least 4 buttons.. i want to feel when i push a button.. i want to know that i can press this button when i need it without looking at my hand to be sure i hit the right zone on the screen. just my opinion.

Avialle80: Pretty much ALL of us feel this way. I doubt there will be a d-pad attachment to the iphone/iPT if that's what you're hoping for; they were never meant to be gaming devices anyway. Not released by apple at least.

I'm actually fine with the controls. Even thoguh they aren't that good, they're pretty damn usable. Note that I'm talking about NOVA, and NOVA only. After playing nova, I am unable to play Eliminate Pro/CoD:Zombies because of their comparitively bad controls.

Did you see the video? what are they showing us there? games maybe? maybe thats why i replied that way? there are a lot of ppl who like to use i-phone/pod/pad for gaming and there are a lot of games in the itunes store. so i guess apple also want us to buy games.

I wasnt the one creating a video telling the ppl what a great gaming-device an ipad is.. did you see the video? maybe you can see the context between the video and my response? so dont complain. ;P (btw. my posting is 5 months old - this time there was no ipad in the stores..)

@ShinigamiS1lv3r i see your point, but hey i wrote "i guess" and "just my opinion" at a time when they just previewed the ipad, apparantly i am not the only one with this opinion. ;) i think there may come great games, but i am not the only one wishing there were a possibilty to controll at least the oldschoolgames with buttons or a nice controller, ipad isnt made for this, yeah.. so its not made for most of the oldschoolgames at itunes.

those new features from NOVA can be without any problem added to the iPod Touch/iPhone. and holding a big peace of gizmo with one hand while dragging your finger across the screen, doesnt looks safe or simple.
