@spartanwarrior1 well i wouldnt refer to it as a problem or a loss as those guys are very well established and regardless of my observation are very skilled.im an admirer of guro pambuan and master scott who is highly skilled in filipino kuntao i just cringe when i see a feeder feeding an angle to a reciever that is a foot higher than it's intended target but hey my hats off to them anyway.
the feeder does an injustice to the reciever when he just throws the blade in the air with no destination. how can the reciever sharpen his skills if the feeder throws an angle#1 that is no where near where it should be?
@spartanwarrior1 didnt critisize the guro.read carefully what i said. a lot of fma practitioners (and i have seen many) throw these sloppy attacks that make the whole thing look bad. and as i said the FEEDER which is NOT guro pambuan is throwing over exaggerated angles that serve no purpose. and im a fma practitioner myself and even if you have to somewhat do wide motions so the crowd see's what is going on it isnt as wide as this feeders movements.and yes i get that it is a demo.got it?
Fantastic demo. I love watching his movement. His switching from high to low stances is so different from what you see in most other FMA systems. Very good stuff.
@s216674 Again, great job. The only thing that bugs me is when the feeder moves in super slow motion and the demonstrator moves two or three times as fast. Its easy to look good when you restrict the speed of your partner. I have no doubt that Guro Raffy can do it for real against a live opponent. I have a ton of respect for him and his family system. Given the choice, I would love to train with him. The "slow feed versus fast reaction" thing happens often in FMA. Not just here at all.
Raffy is truly one of the greatest blades man around. That was fantastic to watch. Id love to see him teach in RI. Thanks for the post. Post more if you got them.
Jujitsu is a great style, when you have weapons in the fight, it changes everything, MMA is only for the ring, which has good fighters. But Arnis has been proven in Battle for hundreds of years, for survival, not sport. MMA is only a sport, with rules, if you lose a match, you can go back and try again, but in the real world 2nd place means your dead...
agreed on that one, but hey that`S their problem and at the same time their loss!this should give guys like us the edge, got it???

I liked the techniques shown with the dagger close to the sword. Very few schools know, or show this. Thanks for sharing those!

In real life you`d probably see a murder, why would you want to see that?

@itsroque Here's a hint, the one with the sword and knife is going to win.
