If you can't go diagonal, try clicking just above your head exactly half way between. I was clicking on the same spot as the video and couldn't go diagonal to save my life. Once I moved my cursor closer to me it worked.

To everyone who cant go diagonal, i used to not be able too but then i tried positioning the camera so it looks on top of your guy but not perfectly birds eye view then click close to your characters feet not the ice brick!

In order to move the ice blocks you MUST go straight through to the yeti BEFORE you start trying to move the blocks. When you go through to the yeti he yells and that breaks the ice blocks from the ground and makes them moveable.

I figured out how to go sideways like you need to at 2:56. Your character MUST have the RUN mode ON. I was sitting here for a couple minutes tried it and it worked.
