  • Be disturbed...

    Now turn on...

    Now be confused...

    And now be disturbed again.

  • @DeepEye1994 Hahaha. So well put.

  • D'Onofrio was so terrifying in this I could barely watch anything he did for years and J-Lo was great

  • I think part of the reason for it being considered a bad movie was how uncomfortable the interior mind of this manic really was. And how close to our own darkest interior places this movie went. It should have been obvious from the appearance of the baptism in the river. Devotion and religious belief was literally turned upside down in this characters' mind. It shows us how perverted our own beliefs can become when allowed to run too free.

  • Ah Ya Allah!!! Bunch of sick!! lol

  • this is the only scene from any movie that ever make me cringe

  • @BigBoss1292 Same here.

    Grossly under-rated horror film.

  • Great cinematography.

  • Looks like a cross between Kane from WWE and Marilyn Manson.

  • This movie probably went over people's heads therefore they say it "sucks".

  • This movie would have been better without Lopez. She can't act worth a damn.

  • @XXNeMo818XX sorry but i have to disagree on you with that. i can't imagine the role of the psychotherapist in this movie with any other actress.

  • this film truly targets that claustrophobic fear inside everyone, with these tense camera angles its such an unnerving and disturbing film. u cant really ever relax.

  • love it a lot !! especially, ripping gut from navel !!! mmm

  • mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy....

  • The film sucked but I found all the imagery disturbingly beautiful. A very artistic film..

  • god the movie sucked but this was the most disturbing movie scene ever its even more disturbing then the old lady from the shining.

  • @ikhoudvanvlaai I obviously disagree about this movie sucking (it's not for everyone) but I agree about the level of it's disturbing nature. I am suprised it doesn't make it on to more scary movie lists. Freaky indeed!

  • @geligniteandlilies well i agree thats it not for everyone but it was like a awfull version of silence of the lambs. but only if that king had not such a high pitched voice and scary little hands

  • @ikhoudvanvlaai i'm totally disagree, i thing this movie was great (i have to admit that the forst time i saw the film, i didn't like it very much, but with time, i've learned to love it) but i don't think this movie is soo disturbing, IS disturbing, but no that disturbing, specially if you compare it to THAT SCENE in particular XD

  • The whole movie kinda reminds me of the music video "Long hard road out of hell" by Marilyn Manson

  • The whole movie kinda reminds me of the music video "Long hard road out of hell" by Marilyn Manson

  • Yes, the whole disembowelment and intestines being spooled out is disturbing, but what really gets me is Stargher's teeth! Baaah!

  • I only remimberd about 2 scenes from this movie (watched it at a very young age like 3-4 yrs old) and this is the scene that stuck with me. Im a bit scared to watch it again now, but I think I will with some friends >__> god im so paranoid!!

  • this movie freaked me out when i was little. . . . .nuff said lol

  • is the intestine thing really possible? i fink da victim wuldve passed out alredi =P

  • lol this was the scene i remember from the movie.

the way the torturer claps his fingers and giggles just fuckin creeps me out.

  • Humming at its most wicked. At least now we know that the tooth fairy does with all thsoe baby teeth, huh? I enjoy a good Vine(nt). Here it's a two fer.

  • Humming at its most wicked. At least now we know that the tooth fairy does with all those baby teeth, huh? I enjoy a good Vince(nt). Here it's a two fer.

  • Because of this scene, I am paranoid to the point that I can't have people touch my belly button for fear of them ripping my intestines out.

  • I'm surprised Vincent D' Onofrio didnt get an any award for his performance here. he really plays a truly terrifying character.

  • I'm surprised he barely ever gets awards for his amazing work.

  • @geligniteandlilies Yep definitely one of my favorite actors. Him and Sam Rockwell

  • @WalksBehindTheRose i think it's because he IS terrifying for nature, if you see him in Full Metal Jacket, he's far scarier in that movie than the cell

  • @mauryelhombremono Very good point, I agree.

  • I cant look at this actor the same after this. His manors just remind me of this character ))))

  • I remember seeing this at a very young age & it was always my favorite part. I think it was because it was the single part in the movie I always remembered.

I would constantly associate "The Cell" with "rolling intestines onto a thorn spindle like thing" lol

In any case, it's still my favorite part :)

  • I like how he only washes only like 3 of his fingers

  • Hella Gory but Hella kool!

  • I'm not much of a gore fan, but they did it in an interesting way!

  • totaly gore , cool, like it, lol

  • worlds smallest teeth

  • Mares eat oats, and does eat oats, and little lambs eat ivy. A kid'll eat ivy, too... wouldn't you?

  • I find myself singing that at work. Haha.

  • The part that scared me the most was "putty face Vince Von". I don't know why that was even scary to me. Oh ya, This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. I must master it as I must master my own life. Without me my rifle is useless, without my rifle I am useless.

  • I don't really remember what part scared me the first time I watched it (It's been like 6 years) but I know I can still barely watch the scene where Catherine watches him get beaten, man that part makes me flinch.

  • o ya i hate that part =( but it does add to Carls story tellin ya about his childhood but God he was very abused ='(

  • You call this clip "King Stargher" although his apperance is very regal, I think it's suppose to signify a midevil doctor. You can tell this by the pictures of the torture insterment the FBI finds in his chamber.

  • It is a different aspect of Carl's mind, but I labeled it as such just to show it was a continuation of the same character for a friend. Same character, different aspect. Sorry about that.

  • You mean to say people actually dressed in that outfit in the middle ages or it was just for this movie?

  • @gatheringleaves some parts of Carl Stargher's outfit are inspired by the clothing of the middle ages, however there are many different parts of it that have been inspired by and appropriated from other historical costumes around the world.

  • Nobody does 'mad as a bag of frogs' quite like Vincent D'Onofrio ...

  • Hahaha. Well put. Scary as crap, and yet, it still does it for me. Hmm. Weird.

  • vaughn:"it's..not...real"

stargher:"ITS NOT REEAL , NOT REEEAL , NOT REEAL "
