I don't know what it is about this case exactly but I am completely in love with it, especially the white version. I'm thinking about down sizing my case from a full tower to a mid, but I'm worried it will be way to crowded. Let me know if anyone out there has done so and how it went.
@thefsxflyer It absolutely does fit, this guy has no idea what hes talking about. First of all, If you have any respectable water cooling system, you don't need a big heatsink, that's part of the advantage of water cooling is that the heatsink can be remote.
second of all, you can fit any one of corsairs water cooling systems in it with loads of space to spare. the H100 radiator mounts to the inside of the top of the case and the fans mount to the outside of the case under the dust cover.
@JohnnyDangerouss I actually have this case, with an H80 set up with Push/Pull config at the rear of the case and there is plenty of room to spare. I have no idea where hes getting this infomation.
I love my 600t. I modded the top to fit a triple 120mm rad, modded the bottom to fit a dual 120mm rad and put an ultra thick 120mm rad on the front. Dual loop for cooling a 2600k and two 5970s. I want corsair to have my children...
Very thorough video. Looks like the USB 2.0 ports on the front are very close together. That may be a major problem if all USB devices are not very slim.
About the usb 3 on the front. It would have been much easier if they would have made it to plug for the header or at least an adapter so if it you didn't have a header.
no one is going to up and replace expensive motherboards you stupid jackass. That I ask if there is an alternative. Especially when people buy unique overclocking motherboards. If they only way to get usb 3.0 is to replace your entire computer then it was worthless from the start. It will never become standard.
When you make another vid, try do it around some upholstery, have a cloth on that table, have things around to absorb some of that atrocious sound bouncing around. Every time you move that case or click a lock, it's deafening. You're completely surrounded by hard surfaces, which makes it a giant echo chamber. Wtf you talking about with water cooling... I Promise you Slim 240 radiator /w slim fans and Slim 120 rad with slim fan will work I almost guarantee it. I bet you Full size setup will work also.
Could you fit a 240mm rad that is 35mm think in this case with some work? And I agree they should have put a hole on the back for the passthrough USB 3.0.
if you had a radiator that's 120mmx240mm why on earth wouldn't you use it for both the GPU And CPU, then it works and fits perfectly, it'd be enough to cool both, just put a couple of high performance fans on the radiator, that's what its designed for
@TimeToLiveCustoms There Is Loads Of People That Is Saying That It Would Be Enough Then There Is An Expert (You) Saying it would. I just Dont know any more >.<
@cmusic52 well i think 240x120mm is big enough. i run a i7 at 4.2 ghz and a hd5970 overclocked, both have water cooling. i run a double height 51/4 xspc res, 4x 120mm fans (push pull config) on 30% speed, and is externally mounded on the back of my case.
played games for hours never gets over heated.
what you need to remember is it is very unlikely BOTH you CPU and GFX will be 100% loaded for hours
Can anyone tell me what I replace those big fans with? I know the top one can fit 2x 120mm ones, is it the same with the front one? Because I wanna be using noctua fans only. And those big default ones also have leds, which I don't want.
Thanks god you saved my live, i had purchased an nh-d14 and hoped it fits into to an old case that I got from my father. But it didn't. So now I preordered a 600t without really thinking about the size. i mean, I just saw the specs and thought "265 mm, that will fit." So until now I was worried about it. ok im confused, lol if i buy this case and i have say a coolit eco 240 water cooler for the cpu ONLY, would it fit? and would i be able to have a rear fan at the same time?
@leanlifter Thats not quite the point dude, what I was saying was the rad would only be any good for the gpu, BUT fitting a decent aircooler would mean you couldnt use a rad. Its complicated but all of the issues were valid and thats why the 650D is taller so it supports water better. The White 600T also has faster fans to allow better air performance. So Corsair have addressed every issue I made :)
@TimeToLiveCustoms This case is clearly meant for a singular cooling method, so naturally you wont be able to fit every cooling peripheral in creation into the case at the same time.
what your suggesting about heat sink and water cooled wasn't what the case was designed for. I'm sure it's designed with either fan or water cooled in mind not both. saying it has design flaws by not meeting your own personal criteria that it was never meant to pass is a little elitist. your video is very informative. that being said if you work more on scripting to do a proper review rather than rant.
Would you recommend this case to a system with 3x GTX 580's in 3-way SLi regarding heat and airflow ?. I currently use a Coolermaster CM 690 nVidia Ed. which keeps the GTX 580 nice and cold, however cablemanagement in the case is a nightmare and I'd like to have a motherboard backplate "cut-out" for quick CPU cooler changes.
I don't know if a CM 690 II would be a better choice over this case ?
The 690 does have a CPU cutout? This case is better than a CM 690, but its more expensive. If better cable management and airflow are worth the extra money to you, go ahead. Theres better out there in terms of airflow i think.
One last thing, no shit about the motherboard covering a grommet that rampage extreme is almost an inch longer than a standard ATX motherboard. Also, the USB 3.0 cable isn't a problem with my motherboard(GB X58A-UD3R) because the PCI slots start two slots down from the top so my grommet plate goes on the top slot of the PCI-E bracket.
Also if you're considering this case you should be aware that the 200mm fans are 20mm thick instead of the 30mm standard that means that for the front fan you will have to do some magic to fit a replacement 200mm fan in the front. P.S. I think the radiator mount at the top is for CPU cooling. If you want to overclock your GFX card you should go for a full tower.
Do you really need a waterblock on the graphics card? I would think that the stock cooler for the card would work fairly well with the airflow in this case.
I can see your point about having a H70 for CPU cool and then trying to using the water cooling option of the case for the gpu being fubar and ill thought out. Corsair obviously think you will only want to water cool the CPU. A dual internal loop is possible in this case with minimal modding, just need to re drill two mounting holes for the front rad. (google "corsair 600t dual loop").
Are there any cases at this price point that are viable water cooling rigs?
@ZanderKaneUK Cooler Master 690 II is dual 240mm rad with full size 50mm+ rad support for £90 (£30 less than 600T) and still retains all the build quality.
@TimeToLiveCustoms Thanks for that really changed my mind about this case, as I want to go to water cooling for the 1st time, I have watched your guide on water cooling using the white cooler master 690 II advanced seems to be a lot of case for the money. Any other recommendations? At or round the £100 price point?
@TimeToLiveCustoms Yeh man from england i know the H100 and the h80 are out but does tge H100 fit into the 600t and also does the 6990 fit without removing the hard drive bays thanks also one really importent question how do i make an 3.25 optical bay since there isnt one with the 600t Thanks Bro
Would not reccommend buying this case despite buying it myself. Dust filters are almost a fly screen mesh (will not keep the dust out of the system). 200mm fans are nowhere near silent despite operating at lower RPM's and are also difficult to replace. Seeing as the functionality of an excellent case is to provide silent effective cooling and dust protection (in my opinion) I would definitely recommend a Lian Li mid-tower solution over this.
I could see how any case could be better...With that said all these case that any manufacture puts out are for different price points. All I see is people tring to put all the bells and whistles into every damn case that comes out. Honestly I have the 800D and couldnt be more happier with it. This case looks great for mid level rigs that are air cooled. If you properly route your wires (which with this case is a no brainer) you shouldnt have any heat problems unless (CONTINUED)
(CONTINUED) you just get stuck on stupid and decide to over clock the hell out of todays technology that really doesnt need the overclock. Such a waist of a review by some retarded comments I have read thus far.
Also to time to live if you read what they had put out for this case for water cooling, you would have noticed they recomended 120 not a 240. So essentially a 120 can cool 2 GPU's as I have seen done, that is of course if you use water wetter. Other than that I honestly believe the H50 was better than the 70. also great review but I honestly think you might want to consider actually building this case with parts that are meant for it, not out of the ordianry stuff, I think it is a bit misleading
@TimeToLiveCustoms would you recommend this case for a good gaming system? Im searching for new cases and i havent changed from my old Thermaltake Soprano. Im planning to change it because it is messy and the cables are hiting the graphics card.
Wow, you guys are actually debating what is best. You can tell who works in the field of IT and those who don't. If you are educated in the IT Profession, you would know that it doesn't matter how its put together. It depends on the builder and the needs of an individual builder. In other words my non-tech friends, "what you eat don't make me sh@#! This means what works for you don't work for me.....LMAO!
Your argument makes no sense. Who is going to water cool anything with a 240? I wouldn't put a 240 on an atom. Any top end air cooler(both gpu and cpu) can beat a 240. If you want to cool go with a 360 or a 480. This case can't fit those so it's not a water cooling case. Not fitting a radiator internally is not a con of a mid tower case. Now if the Cosair 800d or Cooler Master ATCS couldn't fit a radiator internally then we would have problems.
@dhambeats Thats kind of what I was saying mate. 240 is enough for a CPU but anything more would need a better rad. If you rewatch it you will see thats what I was saying.
@TimeToLiveCustoms I understand man. I just wouldn't list lack of internal rad support(even a 240) as a con on a mid tower case. A lot of mid towers don't even support that. Everything else was good. Thanks for the review!
I wish the airflow, styling (gorgeously a little rounded) and practicality made it into a full tower case. Cause the 800 and 700 ones are as you say "heat-boxes". And they are plain boring in design terms.
hmm i think external watercooling would solve the space prob mentioned...or...cant u mount up the whole h70 sandwich at outside back of the case where the fan is then fit in a 280 rad inside?
@RLT00 He's describing some ridiculous situation where you'd have a big radiator for the GPU only and would use an H70 or a huge air cooler for the CPU, without putting it on the water system. How many would build a custom water cooling system for just their GPU?
This is a ridiculous criticism, and this review is misleading, as demonstrated here, because it makes it sound like he's saying the case can't accommodate an H70 period - which is wrong.
@Stevedroid what he's saying is if you want to have water cooling, you won't be able to have sufficient cooling since you can only fit in 1 240mm radiator at the top and not have an extra 120mm at the rear exhaust. Having both the CPU and GPU on the same 240mm loop is bad due to the heat generated from the components can't be dissipated effectively by the radiator. This is of course based on the assumption that anyone that uses water cooling will have a fairly powerful system.
u not gona have that huge heatsink if you watercool, water heatsinks are tiny anyways so how on earth u not gona have enough space for radiators and fans
A couple questions, first of all, is the the Asus Rampage Extreme III inside this case? I thought it couldn't fit. My second question is whether the Corsair H70 would fit inside this case. I know you said it couldn't but I wanted to make sure. I'm guessing the radiator plus the push pull system would be to think? I'm building my first computer and wanting to just make sure the components I'm wanting to get will all fit. Thanks.
@splice247 because a 240 isnt enough for cpu and GPU. if you had a rad in this it would be best to use it for just the GPU. If youd used water youd know that fella. This case is NOT recomendable for water thats kinda the point
Is there a better case than this out, or coming out very soon?

The 690 does have a CPU cutout? This case is better than a CM 690, but its more expensive. If better cable management and airflow are worth the extra money to you, go ahead. Theres better out there in terms of airflow i think.

One last thing, no shit about the motherboard covering a grommet that rampage extreme is almost an inch longer than a standard ATX motherboard. Also, the USB 3.0 cable isn't a problem with my motherboard(GB X58A-UD3R) because the PCI slots start two slots down from the top so my grommet plate goes on the top slot of the PCI-E bracket.
andynator1000 1 year ago
Also if you're considering this case you should be aware that the 200mm fans are 20mm thick instead of the 30mm standard that means that for the front fan you will have to do some magic to fit a replacement 200mm fan in the front. P.S. I think the radiator mount at the top is for CPU cooling. If you want to overclock your GFX card you should go for a full tower.
andynator1000 1 year ago
Do you really need a waterblock on the graphics card? I would think that the stock cooler for the card would work fairly well with the airflow in this case.
andynator1000 1 year ago
in the beginning you say something about heatbox are you talking about 600t or 800d ??? if it was about 800d hows the cooling in 600t?
dudedude873 1 year ago
I can see your point about having a H70 for CPU cool and then trying to using the water cooling option of the case for the gpu being fubar and ill thought out. Corsair obviously think you will only want to water cool the CPU. A dual internal loop is possible in this case with minimal modding, just need to re drill two mounting holes for the front rad. (google "corsair 600t dual loop").
Are there any cases at this price point that are viable water cooling rigs?
ZanderKaneUK 1 year ago
@ZanderKaneUK Cooler Master 690 II is dual 240mm rad with full size 50mm+ rad support for £90 (£30 less than 600T) and still retains all the build quality.
Check my white 690 II video ;)
TimeToLiveCustoms 1 year ago
@TimeToLiveCustoms Thanks for that really changed my mind about this case, as I want to go to water cooling for the 1st time, I have watched your guide on water cooling using the white cooler master 690 II advanced seems to be a lot of case for the money. Any other recommendations? At or round the £100 price point?

Would not reccommend buying this case despite buying it myself. Dust filters are almost a fly screen mesh (will not keep the dust out of the system). 200mm fans are nowhere near silent despite operating at lower RPM's and are also difficult to replace. Seeing as the functionality of an excellent case is to provide silent effective cooling and dust protection (in my opinion) I would definitely recommend a Lian Li mid-tower solution over this.

i think that the cooler master 690 II is better than this case

You can fit the H70, I think that's the H70 used in the commercial image of it on corsair's website?

Can you replace the stock 200mm fans?
whiteoreoxx 1 year ago
I could see how any case could be better...With that said all these case that any manufacture puts out are for different price points. All I see is people tring to put all the bells and whistles into every damn case that comes out. Honestly I have the 800D and couldnt be more happier with it. This case looks great for mid level rigs that are air cooled. If you properly route your wires (which with this case is a no brainer) you shouldnt have any heat problems unless (CONTINUED)
slushomatic 1 year ago
(CONTINUED) you just get stuck on stupid and decide to over clock the hell out of todays technology that really doesnt need the overclock. Such a waist of a review by some retarded comments I have read thus far.
slushomatic 1 year ago
Also to time to live if you read what they had put out for this case for water cooling, you would have noticed they recomended 120 not a 240. So essentially a 120 can cool 2 GPU's as I have seen done, that is of course if you use water wetter. Other than that I honestly believe the H50 was better than the 70. also great review but I honestly think you might want to consider actually building this case with parts that are meant for it, not out of the ordianry stuff, I think it is a bit misleading
slushomatic 1 year ago
@TimeToLiveCustoms would you recommend this case for a good gaming system? Im searching for new cases and i havent changed from my old Thermaltake Soprano. Im planning to change it because it is messy and the cables are hiting the graphics card.
IgOrvElJo 1 year ago
@IgOrvElJo It's more expensive, and less effective, than most top end air coolers (with two or three fans).

Okay I'm a noob, so I have a noob question. Why would you put a huge heatsink and a h70?
xxvi3tboi5o4xx 1 year ago 26
@xxvi3tboi5o4xx You wouldnt and we didnt. The heatsink is much better than the H70 ;)
TimeToLiveCustoms 1 year ago
@TimeToLiveCustoms How so? Why is the H70 so bad? o_o
xxvi3tboi5o4xx 1 year ago
@xxvi3tboi5o4xx i think he meant that you wouldn't be able to run water cooling on your graphics cards and use a big heatsink or h70 for your cpu(?)
georc16 1 year ago
@xxvi3tboi5o4xx Because the H70 would be cooling the graphics card
Leapmanster 7 months ago
@Leapmanster A CPU cooler would be cooling a GPU? Really? Would the PSU cool the chipset then and the HDD would do graphics? Dumbass.
SuperTechmech 7 months ago
@Leapmanster Lolwut? The h70 is a CPU heatsink.

Now if the Cosair 800d or Cooler Master ATCS couldn't fit a radiator internally then we would have problems.
dhambeats 1 year ago 2
@dhambeats Thats kind of what I was saying mate. 240 is enough for a CPU but anything more would need a better rad. If you rewatch it you will see thats what I was saying.
TimeToLiveCustoms 1 year ago
@TimeToLiveCustoms I understand man. I just wouldn't list lack of internal rad support(even a 240) as a con on a mid tower case. A lot of mid towers don't even support that. Everything else was good. Thanks for the review!

crimson177 1 year ago
I wish the airflow, styling (gorgeously a little rounded) and practicality made it into a full tower case. Cause the 800 and 700 ones are as you say "heat-boxes". And they are plain boring in design terms.

hmm i think external watercooling would solve the space prob mentioned...or...cant u mount up the whole h70 sandwich at outside back of the case where the fan is then fit in a 280 rad inside?

SexyTerrorisT 1 year ago
So you cant use this case with a H70 Push/Pull in the back at all?? Thats strange!
RLT00 1 year ago
@RLT00 on its own yes. with a radiator in the roof no matey.
TimeToLiveCustoms 1 year ago
@RLT00 He's describing some ridiculous situation where you'd have a big radiator for the GPU only and would use an H70 or a huge air cooler for the CPU, without putting it on the water system. How many would build a custom water cooling system for just their GPU?
This is a ridiculous criticism, and this review is misleading, as demonstrated here, because it makes it sound like he's saying the case can't accommodate an H70 period - which is wrong.
Stevedroid 1 year ago 23
@Stevedroid what he's saying is if you want to have water cooling, you won't be able to have sufficient cooling since you can only fit in 1 240mm radiator at the top and not have an extra 120mm at the rear exhaust. Having both the CPU and GPU on the same 240mm loop is bad due to the heat generated from the components can't be dissipated effectively by the radiator. This is of course based on the assumption that anyone that uses water cooling will have a fairly powerful system.

@TheShalomyo because a 240 rad isnt enough for cpu and a hot gpu matey sadly.
TimeToLiveCustoms 1 year ago
A couple questions, first of all, is the the Asus Rampage Extreme III inside this case? I thought it couldn't fit. My second question is whether the Corsair H70 would fit inside this case. I know you said it couldn't but I wanted to make sure. I'm guessing the radiator plus the push pull system would be to think? I'm building my first computer and wanting to just make sure the components I'm wanting to get will all fit. Thanks.
DJPJR8462 1 year ago
what is the point of a watercooling setup with a cpu heatsinK? your just trying to make it look like a bad design
splice247 1 year ago
@splice247 because a 240 isnt enough for cpu and GPU. if you had a rad in this it would be best to use it for just the GPU. If youd used water youd know that fella. This case is NOT recomendable for water thats kinda the point
TimeToLiveCustoms 1 year ago
@TimeToLiveCustoms Really? I would rather just cool the CPU on water if I had to choose.
