  • what the hell is happening with all this choirs....the tempo is always way too fast.

  • Hey Mr piano man I think you're going too slow; YOU SHOULD SPEED UP YEAH!

  • too fast

  • Its a little too fast.

  • The Tempoo is so Fast...........

  • Would this be Western HS of Anaheim?

  • @blazingbluefire No, Russiaville.

  • @WizardofOzfan39 Russiaville, IN?

  • Yeah, whoever is on the piano was going WAAAAYYY too fast.

  • crazy piano dude first soloist was awesome

but then the piano went so fast the song just didnt, work

  • OMGSH why are you going so fast!? like when the pianist started.. i thought they were going to slow down when they started singing.. like that messed it up completely :S like it was pretty good.. but like check the tempo? (so happy that the choir i'm in is doing it right :D)

  • Dont listen to them people. I am in choir and we are doing this song.. i like the time measures u used. good solos too. keep up the good work

  • Shiite pianist!

3rd solo wuzzn't as guud as the otherr two!

Yuu guyzz diid pweddii guud butt the pianist nd laast soloist completelii wreckked one of the mostt amaziing songzz everr performed on Broadway nd Westend!

  • umm the last solist sounded horrible but it was GREAT except the fucking pianoist was going to fucking fast shit

  • you guys sound awesome! ^^

But what is with that crazy pianist?!?!?! Totally ruined it! =.=

  • wow. you're timing was crap. it was horrible. no offense, but you just ruined an incredible song

  • to fast but great vocies

  • BOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOO

  • you guys really sang well! the problem was, as mentioned, the piano player... he was just too fast and made you guys run out of air... besides, the last soloist didn't project his voice, instead he sang just for himself, not for the audience... and the second soloist had the same problem... the first soloist was a little bit too nasal... yet, you all seemed to be connected with each other and with the meaning of the song itself, which really, really good!

  • FiR3!!!!!!!! the person playinq the piano...because of the piano, you quyszx dont sound qood..

  • u completely butchered this song......

    like seriously

  • WTF IS THIS SHIT to fast

  • the pianist wuz going WAY WAY WAY to fast ............ BAD PIANIST !!!!

  • the piano player was going too fast and i think it sped up the tempo and the second soloists voice could have been stronger . other than that it was beautiful (:

    iloveRENT.

  • wow, fire that piano player, but keep the strong ensemble, you guys really kept it together!! the soloists either were too nervous b/c of piano or werent the best... other than that it was great!

  • I dont like the tempo but I think you guys are pretty awesome to be able to keep up with the piano and sing like youd actually rehearsed it like this. Good job.

  • this is good and would have been even better if the stated problem wasnt a problem, but i like how you guys actually did it like they did in the movie instead of having just a bunch of people singing it.

  • the first soloist was very good, but she was using a pop music type voice for musical theater, but it sounded great!

  • good, but too fast

  • You guys sounded pretty good! ^ ^

The thing that annoyed me was the piano, though.. the pianist sounded like they had somewhere to be! The tempo was way too fast, and then it got slower, and then faster.. all over the place. That's what made it hard to listen to, but your voices are good. ^ ^

  • it was pretty good. you slide alot on the "cups of coffee"

  • the chorus shounded great!

but the solists were not the best...

i mean that in the nicest way posible!

and i know that it wasnt ur fault that the tempo was fast..but good job keeping up!

  • Um, It's not that obnoxious since that outfit is in both the original stage production and the movie. Oh, and WTF back at you, bitch.

  • loved it

    but

way way way way way way way tooooo fast

  • very well!

  • I LOVE HOW THEY DRESSED LIKE THEM

  • tell the piano player to slow down lol

  • that was W A Y faster than the movie. . . it was pretty good but yea a lil 2 fast. . .

  • um, is the last guy gay? sort of sounds like it. um, first person, would've been better, but thats all right. i could tell she was nervous. i really do feel sorry for you guys though. because of the piano player, i mean.

-the Simon Cowell of Youtube videos

  • No, he's not. I never really picked up on him sounding that way. To me, he just sounds odd because he is way out of his comfort zone vocally. He is a way low bass and they put him on a part made for a higher voice.

  • yes, another comment from me. i didnt care for this. sorry. it was ok, but nothing that id watch over and over.

  • waaaaayyyy too fast.

  • at first i was like "wow they are doing really well considering how fast the stupid accompanist was going" but then the solos came...

    yeah...

    enough said.

  • THAT SUCKS! SIT DOWN

  • wow, they really played it fast lol.

  • dayummmm slow down!

when we sang this i got a solo =]

  • Props to the choir for hanging in at the incorrect tempo. You guys pulled it off quite well. I know what it's like having a pianist who can't seem to realize that they're off-tempo...really annoying, but there's not much you can do about it. Great job! (Nice shirt, by the way...and the Santa coat ;) hee hee)

  • sounds about as fast as we did it

  • wow why are they going so fast lol are they trying to ruin the song lol my school is doing this song for the senior graduation and its really fun but so far we sound better then them

  • In case you haven't read the response to the 500 other people who have commented it being fast, it was the piano players fault. The choir can only do so much when the piano player is doing her own thing and ignoring the conductor. I think they should be given props for keeping up to the fast pace and singing at a tempo they never rehearsed.

  • wow the piano player is on speed

    slow down a bit mate

  • "lets see how fast we can sing...."

  • lmao

  • I love this song, but you could have done much better....

  • way way way too fast! I question the instructor for taking this tempo. The blonde guy with last solo was also so nasal that you couldn't understand anything he sang.

  • Well, the problem was the fact we did not have an instructor onstage during this number. After our "formal" section of this concert (which we stood on risers for), she went and sat in the front row of the auditorium so that she wouldn't block us. She tried to conduct our pianist, but she wasn't paying much attention. We had rehearsed much slower.

Also, I do agree about Colin. He is a phenomenal singer-when he is singing bass. This was far above his "comfort zone."

  • its good..but wayyyyyyyy to fast

  • its good..but wayyyyyyyy to fast

  • i guessing the pianest wanted to see how fast they coould go xD

get job you guys are amazing

  • too fast..... LOL......

  • slow down!

    Nice voices

  • too fast...you guys are trying too hard.

sololists aren't powerful enough. some parts seemed slurred.

  • Really great, but was the piano player on speed or something-way too fast!

  • Besides it being... uhh... way too fast, it was good. And it was good that you guys kept up with the speed. If it were me, I'd probably be standing there like, "derr...."

  • Wow, there is great potential for each of the soloists who performed, and also the choir in general.

If I may, I would ask that each of the soloists enunciate a little more, and use more breath support. For breath support, try this visual: imagine your lungs are located by your belly button, transfer all your breath energy there! Then you'll sing as you've never sung before! I mean it!

    Great work people!

  • Nice. The first soloist was good- she just looked dead. XD Nice clapping.

  • Yes, her voice is amazing. I think she was just really nervous. She is a freshman and this was the first solo she had ever had.

  • the santa man sounded...ridiculous

  • Ridiculous in what way? In the way that it was not sang as Jesse L. Martin sang it in the film? 1. The director asked us not to sing it like the film (ie make it "our own"). 2. Jesse L. Martin is a bass, I am a Tenor I, I had to take it up into my range. 3. That is actually not all that different from how it is written into the choral version (also, just to let you know, Jesse L. Martin didn't sing it the way Jonathan Larson wrote it either!).

  • oh no...i didn't mean it, like...bad.

you just had to sing through the clapping for the other soloist, and i could only hear bits and pieces of it, so it sounded weird.

other than that it was good! sorry, i was in a hurry, i should have specified.

  • Oh, OK. No problem. Sorry if it sounded like I was snapping at you. In the words of the original Angel, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, "I'm sensitive: I'M AN ACTOR!" lol

  • lol, it's ok. i know how it goes. i had someone totally nitpick an ENTIRE show that i was in...they didn't know i was standing right behind them. oh, i went off. so i totally know what you mean.

  • wow that was good, fast but i guess tempo is the decision of the choir right? =)

  • Yeah. Actually, in rehearsal we had it about right. However, our director plays in rehearal, another accompanimist comes in for the concert. At the rehearsal the night before, she was too slow, so the director asked her to speed it up, and I guess she got it going too fast.

  • awesome but a little fast

  • omg that was awesome! i especially love you're santa/angel outfit!

  • amazing everyone!
