hi, i deleted the installer.dmg from the iso because i wanted to use just the live dvd and then i could burn it to a single layer dvd, but my eeepc, and my computer is continuing the install when i select the usb..so, installer.dmg missing is the problem?

Hi I just tried to install following your instructions step by step; and when starting mac, even with -x -v, it gets stuck with: Extension “com.apple.driver.iTunesPhoneD­river” has no explicit kernel dependency: using version 6.0

after waiting for about 20 minutes from that message, the netbook automatically restarts :/ any help would be greatly appreciated!

This tut works like a charm, short and good. Only fault is i had to reinstall and do "-v -F" on the first boot because it locked up when i did not pass these parameters on the first install boot.

the blue screen is easy... download the last ipc 10.5.6. and the other trouble is the wireless lan!!! the hardware is detected but i cant find wifi signal it just keep searching!!! i need someone help here... sorry about my bad English thanks before

Sleep does not work. The computer will go to sleep if you tell it to, but it never wakes up. I'm not sure if there's a fix for this. I have used "deep sleep" widget to make the computer hibernate and it will wake up, but sound doesn't work after that and the internet doesn't work. Does anyone know how to get sleep working? It is not commented on in this guide.

Does this video omit any steps? I have an eeePC 900 too, and tried to install iPC 10.5.6 but it hangs at the blue screen before the Mac OSX installation options come up.

To I need to do anything else on top of putting the disc in and setting it off in -v mode?

I tried getting the iPC image on my USB-stick, using my other hackintosh. I managed to get it to boot, but when it gets past darwin boot, I get the message "Please contact the Voodoo Kernel dev-team..."

"panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A8335)..."

A flag that can be set?

Tried on my other hackintosh, seems like it suffers kernel panic too! Even though it was installed from the same image, only as a DVD.

Guess I will NEED a USB-DVD, or is there anyway to make this work from a USB-stick?

Hi! Thanks for this amazing video. I wanna know how to boot from OS X. Actually I have to use an Eee Boot (Boot 132) disk from an external usb driver to access Mac. Any ideas?

You will need to have a bootloader. Boot 132 is a bootloader + kexts that boots up any stored OS. You could easily download and install Chameleon after starting up with your Boot 132.

An alternative is to store bootloader + every needed kext on a small partition, and boot system with that, then make that partition boot another with Vanilla OSX. That way you can reinstall your Vanilla OSX, without reinstalling bootloader etc. But this is a bit more work.

Thanks for the reply! I guess iPC 10.5.6 doesn't install Chameleon by default. My Eee PC 900 had a Windows partition installed in 4GB SSD when I've tried chain0 and tboot tricks. Nothing had worked. Then I deleted Windows and installed Ubuntu on the same partition (4GB) and pointed the Linux Grub to my other drive (16GB SSD) but it couldn't found OS X. After some kernel panics on the startup (using EeeBoot CD), I've decided to install the retail disc and discard this iPC troubled installation...

for a mac or an osx86 pc go to disk utility and click your drive and go to the restore tab and restore the image to your flash drive

Note: for mac os x tiger it has to be 6-8gb flash disk.

For a leopard install use a 8gb drive or a 10gb drive

isn't the lifetime of a sd card too short to use a os? i mean it's okay if it's a live os which uses the sd card only for booting, but i read that the lifetime of current solid disks is around 80 days when you work for 8 hours per day on the os.
