I have to say that I mostly use PC. But Adobe PC is a fucking idiot. One of the most ridiculous things I have seen is him using a CRT monitor like it is some professional shit. MOST TV setups computers and digital projectors use LED, LCD's or plasma technology. So, why the fuck is he trying to mislead people into thinking that CRT's are better?

The signal is the same, but one connector will be prone to popping out of its socket, the other one won't.

The iMac is a great all-in-one, with an excellent screen. I think it basically comes down to whether you want the iMac and all it comes with, or if you want to void certain features/parts because you don't need them (the point of custom-building).

Either way, now that Apple is pricing their computers relatively decently for what you get, they're both great options in my opinion, it just matters what you're looking for.

Of course Mac users get the option. They have the option to buy the Mac or a PC. A lot of people buy Macs because they require them to be able to do their work. I know isn't that amazing? Some people NEED the power of the Mac Pro, some people NEED the power of the 27" imac i7's. If what you need isn't there from Apple, big deal, don't get it. Nobody forces you. The biggest draw to the Mac platform is NOT the hardware, it's the SOFTWARE, it just happens to be on very well built machines.

Running a 50" TV isn't going to require any more output power than a 19" with the same resolution, which is 1920 x 1080. The iMac 27" display is 2560 x 1440. That's beyond FULL HD.

Alienware PC's are known (even among big PC lovers) to be massively overpriced for what they are. They're just a Dell with a cheap plastic alien head on the case.

The Mac Pro by default uses a GeForce GT120, which is a rebranded 9500GT. It costs about $65 or so.

Eric, fans aren't exactly expensive, no matter what kind you buy, and most cases come with fans. My case is a more high end one, the HAF 932 from CoolerMaster, and it came with four fans. Three 23cm fans and a 12cm fan. And they're pretty silent too (the bigger they are, the slower they can spin while still moving the same amount of air).

Applesoldier there is a part where adobepc goes to newegg and saves a configuration that beats the basic $2499 mac pro in performance and not the imac 27 inch. Note: adobepc's configuration that is a little more than a $1k that he built up in newegg can compete with the stock mac pro in terms of performance. The stock mac pro comes with a GT 120 while adobepc's configuration shows a gt 220, 4 gigs of ddr3 ram, a 2.8 Lynnfield i7 for just about 1k with a 64 bit Windows os.
