In Israel we know and understand the Arab side far better then the Arab sides knows or understands Israel. This is where all the Arab ignorant behavior comes from. I'm not sure if you're aware of it, but this comment is actually somewhat racist. You're asserting that Jews are better than Arabs because they're more accepting of the other one's culture. First of all, this isn't necessarily true, and secondly, there are bound to be some intelligent, non-ignorant Arabs who don't want to wipe out Israel too.

And if Israel is so committed to "national dialogue" then why does it refuse to negotiate with Hamas or Iran?

I think most Israelis are actually more willing to discuss just peace than most americans because they have to live day in, day out with the fallout from this conflict. They have to deal with the traffic jams when the soldiers block off a major road due to a bomb scare, they have to go to the schools that might be hit by rockets, they have to join the military that is put in harm's way by this bloodshed. If the US moved its Israel policy a few steps to the left, Israel would gladly follow.
