it was the pre-release version, for rental only.

it was rented to customers 2 months before the dreamcasts official release,

and all copys were supposed to be sent back to sega, but of course, not all were.

Its pretty worthy today.

@Tails0600 The version you got from hollywood video you cant go online or save. However when they made Kiosk versions the later ones had the ability to save. however the majority of Sonic adventure:LE Kiosk versions are the same as the Hollywood video one. So a Sonic Adventure: LE that saves is infact the rarest

@FOZproductionz Correct, The majority of Sonic Adventure LE you find are the ones that Hollywood video game out. Which had the Save feature disabled. The Rarer(worth ~$100 with case, $25 without) Kiosk Version allows saves. Its basically the japanese version of the game with English dialogue.

I remember owning the limited edition or something. Mine had the title screen but the water behind it would move, like ripples. My dad got it for me when I was like 9, since it didn't work we had to return it. When I got my other copy I reaize the ripple effect was no longer there.
