There is no agreement whether the trace amounts CO2 we produce can even be reliably measured compared to the volume nature produces. CO2 itself is both a desirable and necessary atmospheric gas. Earths atmospheric feedback system (water vapor) self-regulates CO2.

There is no agreement whether the trace amounts CO2 we produce can even be reliably measured compared to the volume nature produces. CO2 itself is both a desirable and necessary atmospheric gas. Earths atmospheric feedback system (water vapor) self-regulates CO2.

And it's based on thousands of scientific papers in the best journals, eg. (one of thousands) Rosenzweig et al. 2008 Attributing physical and biological impacts to anthropogenic climate change (Nature). The literature is vast and it's up to doubters to show how it's flawed - no one has managed that yet. Stunning how you can continue this.

@coliwood I don't respect the poll, as it is very sloppy and has only a tiny handful of people who actually know the field. Scientific American exposed its poor quality years ago. Most of the respondents are working outside climate science, there are many duplicates and fakes. What Al Gore does is irrelevant - the scientific literature is the only thing that really counts, and it's overwhelmingly in consensus that AGW is real and worrying. Nothing to do with "belief".

@topologyrob Okay, well I do, I'm an engineering system that deal with chaotic systems just like the climate and there and more over so much of what Al Gore says on the issue is simply bunk. I can't really go into any great detail but the doubling of CO2 has already happened to 84% if you count things like CH4 emissions as well and the fact remains that we are nowhere close the numbers suggested by the IPCC. And the polar bears are not dying.
Now from a policy standpoint it is even worse.
