  • @artisticluminiere Jeez, you would think I like these old-timey tunes. You know me too well. Great version

  • It never gets old,beautiful rendition,thaks!

  • One of the best renditions of this limited, melodic commercial song since 1934. It has never seen such a wonderful arrangement since 1934. I don't think it ever will.

I think sladedude44 said it all. peace

  • @davedirk What was removed?

  • Have you heard the movie version of this melody in 1934's MANHATTAN MELODRAMA with its earlier words, entitled "The Bad In Every Man?" It was performed by Shirley Ross while wearing mulatto makeup on a film set resembling The Cotton Club.

  • My father is loving this in Heaven! Me too...Rocks still!

  • This is fantastic!

  • this version is so smooth

  • Play it again bunny berigan, play it again!!

  • Play it again bunny berigan, play it again!!

  • Não foi do meu tempo, mas curto muita músicas de mtos anos atrás. Essa música é foda, muitas regravações foram feitas dela . Very good Song . Great Bunny Berigan .

  • A great year for swing & one of the best the master Bunny Berigan in 1934. His hit " I cant get started was I believe the biggest seller of 1937. Many have performaned that number since but never to Bunnies standard, the last of the great entertainers.

  • BB was the first to hire my hero, trombonist Ray Conniff in 1938 !

added this to 1934 in my music playlists for each of the past 100 years, any year is a trip back in time to ANY of the sounds of that year, even old adverts.

250 more playlists by individual artist as well. 300 tracks by Ray Conniff ! ! !

This is much better than the 1934 movie version ! ! Thanks for uploading this ! !

  • This is beautiful.

  • i actually, adore, this version.

  • Forget Elvis and forget all the others. This is the very best version of this great title!

  • Was that Adrian Rollini on bass sax?

  • Dick Robertson as Vocal. Ihave this record it is backed by Trumbauer's Orch.doing the Insipid "Down to Uncle Bill's" on the flip side. This is the hot side obviously. But Trumbaur hadn't changed his style yreally since his days w/Whiteman and sounds dated.. But Berigan Swings! love the modulation to the relative minor key at the coda!!.

  • I just discovered recently that on "Troubled" recorded the same day as this that Natoli, not Berigan did the great soaring solo near the end.

  • people are drawn to music of their youthful background and as they grow older and they compare what was and what is now they relize what was is the best and can't be duplicated.

  • The simple-mindedness stuns me, when did we lose this form of art?

  • A great compo of future swing stars and yes Bunny Berigan , the one & only. 5 *****

Apoligies there was only 5 stars I would go to ten.

    5*****

  • play it again bunny play it again

  • this talent was taken away much to early.

  • to me this is one of the typical big band era compositions that epitomizes the changing mood... great song!!!! thanks

  • Originally recorded for Victor on November 20, 1934. Playing with Bunny on this one were Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, and Roy Bargy, who eventually became leaders in their own right...

  • Seconded. It sounds great - I'm gonna learn how to play it on piano now, I think. :D

  • One of the greatest records ever released in the thirties.
