This is actually a really nice port of this. More true to the original than the more popular NES version. Sound is a little horrid though, when you get into the tank it really starts to fall apart, or perhaps it's just not emulating right.

Last time I played this was on Atari ST in 1989 or something! I still remember the first level and how to avoid those tanks!! :)

God i loved this when i was a kid! 2 player was mayhem! Wish i never sold my ST, I had 5 shoe boxes full of games and demos, I only had turrican 2 and jimmy whites snooker original though! I actually feel guilty about that now though, piracy is bad mmmkay!

I loved this game on my ST! I even remember a cheat code.

Get enough points to get on the high-score board, and type your name as "Freeride" It will make you bulletproof. (It takes most of the fun out of the game though)

i LOVED this game as a kid in the 6th grade. still fun to play but you have to be with a buddy. btw, IKARI means "anger" in japanese. so there you have it. anger warriors! heh

Not only did I have the game for my Atari ST, I also remember when "Hot Shots Part Deux" made a spoof of this game when a soilder who gets shot, spinned around one time and fell. Hehe.. Check it out.

This was a great game. I remember going up against the giant tanks boss monster. Come on, it dos'nt matter which console was better. You think about this, and your a kid again. It opens so many doors.God, I thought I was, Rambo.I remember the team player option, Me and my bro would play plan things out. The big Bright red grenades that blew up the whole screen. Outstanding.
