This is an awesome band. I haven't heard them in about 15 yrs. I'd done a search some time back and couldn't find anything, now YT is loaded. Thanx for the vids.
Yeah Ray Manzarek produced it and is credited for playing the organ. X rules, this is true American rock'n'roll at it's greatest and realest bred from living in the heart of America.
great song,i saw x at house of blues back around early 1990's,they played sort of slow unplugged music, was a little disappointed, but they still rule !
@TheFacelessK I disagree, I saw them last friday in Santa Cruz and they sounded great. Got to have a nice chat with exene afterwards too, Shes fucking cool :P
Has a song ever had a better title? God, when I was young I could feel this song. If you understand it you know what he means, if you don't then you are lucky. Greatest band in history.
even though X is thought of as punk, they also have a little rock-a-billy and C&W influence. come to think of it, i suppose a lotta punk groups did...

Saw these guys in Boise a few years ago. Billy Zoom repeatedly bent down so I could "pet" his guitar while he played, and after the show he handed me his pick. It's initialed. Awesome :)
@christoJihad2 I was at Pali at the same time. Did you go to SAMO?There were only 7 of us who liked them or anything Punk at all at Pali.It was awwsome!
@down4life1488 It is Ray Manzarek on keyboards. He produced the album (and their first four albums, I believe) and apparently championed the bad pretty tirelessly. One of the great injustices of American music is that X didn't become immediately huge, if not here then certainly with Under the Big Black Sun.
I haven't heard this album in fifteen years (what was I thinking?) and I still know every word of every song. John Doe is a great vocalist, and Exene sounds perfectly off key perfect for the songs. To be 25 again, no ties, nothing but work, music, racing motocross and playing basketball. All we had to worry about in 1980 was nuclear war with the Russians. That wasn't shit in retrospect.
@christoJihad2 well put!! this was a classic L.A. punk group with a signature sound. I remember being in high school in santa monica when X was at its zenith
Not only is this a great song, it's a great song to finish off a great album. Same with 'The Have Nots' on Under the Big Black Sun and 'True Love' on More Fun.
What a song title.

@1watkinsblue I think you are correct he did manage and do studio work (no doubt to secure his finacial interests too)..
