What Dig does is compare real musical talent vs a vacous fashion concious A and R band and tells you the musically inferior band wins. Timoner money never wins, substance always trumps greed.
if dig shows the bjm to be fuck ups then why are they still going strong after 20 years, that movie could have been so so much better if it told the truth....i think the brian jonestown massacre will be around for another 20yrs...u fucked up ondi
DIG! Is the biggest pile of shite! all it does is cut and paste the bad times that BJM shared. they've been around for 20 years and all it can do is show us their fights! It makes them out to be a lost cause when in reality they the kings of the underground scene. the one upside to DIG is that it shows how easily it is to be corrupted by the man.... I.E. the Dandy Warhols.
Art is not which is seen nor heard, but the feeling during the process of creation.
@GHSeraph84 I agree that DiG! emphasized more on the "rough" times BJM went through..but also, it sort of created a personal connection to the band because it depicted them as human beings and not as some band polished by the media. Despite the overall emphasis on BJM's fights/etc and the success of the Dandy Warhols, I think DiG! had a positive impact in favor of the BJM and had even helped their music spread to new heights.
@GHSeraph84 BJM is considered to be one of the last original rock and roll bands alive, and Dig! shows that man. You see the dark side of rock n roll, and how they came through it or almost embrace it to create the music they create. Its superb. Well worth the watch.

The footage of that Dandys chick topless is the best thing the band ever produced.
