  • Saddest moment ever :( <3

  • "If you die, I wanna die too!"

And then I immediately lost it and started crying. I haven't even played this game and know little about it. FUCK.

  • 3:30 *cries*

  • Hm... anyone remember the scene in Xenogears when Fei's mom made the big red and yellow streams of light fly in the air and then she sacrificed herself by getting hit so it wouldn't hit Fei?

  • 3:05 - 4:02 ~ Does anybody know what's the name of the instrumental in the background ~

Is it a soundtrack of Xenosaga ?! If yes, than please tell me what it is called ..

  • "Except a corn of wheat falleth into the ground and die; it abideth alone"

Now I see why Albedo said that line

  • Even with the censorship, this is an absolutely amazing scene.

  • 2:00 - 4:03 is my fav part as well as, "Death is rest for the soul. If the body did not die, and the fears born in the mind just continue to pile up, the world would be nothing more than an eternal prison."

  • Albedo... if only the stupid company had made a better battle system for the series, people would have gotten hooked, and he would have gotten the recognition he deserved as one of the best bad guys ever

  • Whoops, I meant you, animeluver45.

  • @animeluver & @1Nickzilla1 I believe that you 2 are very correct in this... Just try to imagine that kind of torture. Although, if you wanted to be accurate on it, you really CAN'T in this case.

  • so, in the end, Albedo is just a tragic villain. like Darth Vader or Kuja.

  • Its so sad think if you didnt die and you lived forever when youre family and everybody you know dies when you be on earth forever be glad you can die...

  • I saw this in the game, and it made me choke up everytime. This is an example of games being art. Moments that can induce emotions like that.

  • @1Nickzilla1

I bet you got the from top 15 saddest moments in video games video.

  • @animeluver45 actually, no. I don't wanna live forever, so I can see where albedo is coming from.

  • @1Nickzilla1

True and I believe you. You should watch it, it talks about how video games were contemplated to be art and Albedo's Change is one of them :)

  • @animeluver45 well, it was only 10, but it was very accurate.

  • Lloyd and Mithos are totally messing with my head right now @.@

  • 3:33 was so damn sad, and that line "If you die I want to die too" is so powerful.

  • does anybody know the song the plays at 3:01?

  • @SuperFawful9000 iknow its part of thegamessoundtrack. The sountrack title Strained #2 - albedo #2You shouldfind it hereon youtbe if youlook.

  • @sonichog4 thanks :)

  • @SuperFawful9000 it's called Jr. #2, it's on the official soundtrack

  • ;( ITS SO SAD Sadder then Mother 3

Sadder Then Metal Gear Solid 4

Sadder Then Super Paper Mario's Ending

Even sadder then E-102 Gamma's Death

    And I cried

  • @RetartedScraggy you just came from the autarch of flame and fiery joker collab to didnt you :(

  • @RetartedScraggy No I saw this before the collab along with most of the other stuff except E-102 Gamma's Death.

  • Well, at least we know what made him the complete psychopath he is now... Those thoughts must have deteriorated his mind a little.

  • @dividebyzero100 ...A little. Degenerated his mind... a little.

...I hope, for your sake, that was an intentional understatement of the century.

  • @SektionEi8ht Of course it was. This guy is worse than KEFKA.

  • @dividebyzero100 Good. And, honestly, I agree- this guy is TWEAKED, to say the very least.

  • I wanna hug him!

  • It finally happened. I cried at a video game.

  • I feel so sorry for Albedo after seeing this scene...

It's not an excuse for the horrible things he did later as an adult...but if you can't feel anything for him at this particular moment, then you have a heart of stone. Finding out that you cannot die and realizing you would forever be left alone by anyone you cared for and loved, would be the most painful thing most people could ever experience.

  • 2:30 When I first saw that part I said Oh my god like 30 times. It shocked the crap outta of me.

  • So I have never played this game but I'm buying it. I don't want to sound stupid or anything but is 6:53 the U.M.N. ? Stupid question but I want to know cuz I'm making a tribute video for Jennifer Hale I have all the voices she does for this game except for U.M.N Staff so I wanted to know what or where that is so I can find that role. Thanks :)

  • @katrinarj are u talking about that red mass?

  • this game is my fav in the world i love it!!!

  • Apparently, in the Japanese version of this game albedo uses a gun instead of an energy ball to blow off his head. That's what I read on wikipedia. Anyone know this for sure?

  • @DuykRuyk yeah he even posted an uncensored verson with the gun in it

  • Rubedo: In the beginning, Albedo and I were one.

Shion: Because you're both born from the same fertilized egg?

o_o... Way to put it straight-up, Shion. God, I hate her in this game...

  • @Slightlybaka hahaha and this is why i find it hard to like Shion.....not sure if the developers/writers wanted players to have that perspective of her but damn she's such an insensitive idiot

  • Just curious... Are Albedo and Allen the same person?

  • @ultrapluppen uh, l mean Chaos not Allen. sorry, my mistake

  • @ultrapluppen No. Chaos is another person entirely. I'm guessing you haven't played number three yet? It reveals more about Chaos.

  • @Crowley4004 But not why his name did not begin with capital letter... Maybe ?

  • @Lux019 It's mostly guesswork, really. Allen is the whiny guy that follows Shion everywhere, the mousy-haired guy who's always cowering.

chaos is the one with white hair and blue eyes, and they're both in the same scenes sometimes.

  • @wastedfrustration Another thing is that Albedo may have been biologically insane. As in, chances are he would have snapped in any setting and personality. Remember Cherenkov. Even personality reconditioning lvl 9, his combat instincts took over and he was unable to adjust to civilian life. And of course Albedo was raised by ormus after the miltian incident. Even so blaming him completely would be like blaming the realians affected by the song of nephilim as they too were driven crazy.

  • It's not Albedo's fault he's bad, it's his ability.

  • I just hate how Rubedo slaps Albedo to the ground like that. And the look on his face after Rubedo does... Poor thing, he didn't know what he did...

  • @heartofgoldfish nah, your right, not over and over, but mabye twice :P

  • This was just plain sad. A villain you could truly feel sorry for.

  • I had to stop playing this game for a bit because I could handle the truth behind Albedo, Jr and Nigredo

I found it to be to powerful and to sad and I just broke down...

    BUT

    I have to say

    the Xenosaga series is AMAZING

I could play them over and over again

  • @THEIDIOTCAT Over... and over?

  • I cry harder every time I see Albedo say, "I don't wanna be alone!" :( Poor kid

    PrinceLegalon

  • @PrinceLegalon IF YOU DIE I WANT TO DIE TO!

  • @PrinceLegalon I've never even played this game and I was tearing up.

  • 0:51

I thought he said "I think I'm getting pregnant."

  • This is something I never got...okay, so the URTV's are extremely powerful time bombs that were developed with special powers for a special purpose but yet, they decide to have them carry around simple handguns. Just handguns. Handguns that any human could just carry around and shoot things with, so WHAT WAS THE POINT OF DEVELOPING THE URTV'S?!

And even at this, with a gun at hand, Albedo decides to bash people's heads against the floor instead of killing them quickly and easily.

  • OMG poor Albedo T_T I feel so sorry for him! he didn't want to be alone, poor thing~! Y.Y

  • The question is not "Is Albedo messed up?" Because he very obviously is: He tried to strangle an innocent COMATOSE girl because he saw her as a rival. My original point - not that you seem to have understood it - is that being messed up doesn't negate the fact that his actions are evil, yet his fans insist otherwise. He's a selfish, maddened child who only cares for Rubedo because he sees them as being the same person. He's a murderer, a mental rapist, and a monster, not some innocent lamb.

  • Is Albedo messed up? Hell yeah. Is it his fault? No, he couldn't control the circumstances of his birth or upbringing. But could he NOT be a horrible monster? Sure. It was his choice; he chose to become a monster. Rubedo and Nigredo turned out fine-- Albedo could have too. Instead Albedo loses his $hit and becomes a serial killer.

And in the end, what does he get? Pseudo-reincarnation and redemption in the eyes of oh-so-many fangirls. Is defending him severely misguided at best? Yes.

  • @wastedfrustration Yes he's messed up and it doesn't change the fact that he did much evil. The sob story is a Freudian excuse, but it is one which he did not mention. Most of this wouldn't have happened if he wasn't so obsessed with dying either. He was already unstable. Second, he was exposed to UDO and exposure usually drives one insane. Seeing as he was already unstable, the best course of action would have been remove him from the battlefield, and to get him help, before he snapped.

  • @AlbedoAtoned

He didn't mention it because HE'S NOT AWARE THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH HIM. As far as he's concerned, the only thing wrong with the Universe is how it may well separate him from his 'beloved brother' Rubedo. Note as well that Nigredo turned out fine, even heroic despite his "father's" possession of him; note as well that Rubedo is an absolute hero, able to do what he has to and yet able to find compassion even for his insane, malicious brother. Yet Albedo is clearly not sane.

  • @AlbedoAtoned

And yet Rubedo was the one who snapped. Not the one used as a pawn in their "father's" machinations, not the one who lost his first real friend/maybe even the girl he liked, and was trapped in a child's body forever-- It was Albedo. He was already insecure, but he CHOSE to act out in violent ways and embrace his insanity; to Albedo, everyone is clearly wrong and only he is right, hence his acting out like a spoiled brat and his continuing to delude himself even past death.

  • @AlbedoAtoned

'Remove him from the battlefield?' Albedo's first signs of psychotic violence came even before they left their creche, during their earliest days in training! Shion is a therapist/psychologist for Realians; likely the URTVs had their own therapists, but even young Albedo is shown with that 'I'm right, you're wrong' attitude and it's likely no-one could help him. Yuriev had the URTVs made to serve his purposes; if Albedo was irreparable, it was because Yuriev saw fit to keep (C)

  • @wastedfrustration

    (C) him that way, alive, and the only way to fix Albedo would be to kill him (which turns out to be the right choice). Remember, the URTVs weren't supposed to be 'human,' like the Realians; they were only supposed to counter U-Do and they couldn't even do that. Is Albedo's insanity his fault? Not entirely. Is his murder, mindrape, maybe actual rape, general violence, and utterly selfish desire to destroy the Universe excusable? No. Can we at least agree on that?

  • @wastedfrustration I'm not disagreeing with you on his guilt. But he is insane. Insane people don't often know their insane. And he should have been removed from combat. he was a ticking time bomb and those in the know should accept part of the responsibility if they are alive (unlikely). Does insanity justify his guilt, No. But it does help people understand why he did the deeds. He wasn't aiming for world domination, nor destruction. He was aiming for his death because he wouldn't grow up.

  • "Agh, what is THIS thing?" Don't want to be those quote nerds but it simply hilarious.

  • The first time I saw this I almost cried when Albedo was crying. Poor guy.

  • Albedo kicking the U-DO wave was hilarious.

  • aww Albedo I feel bad T_T poor thing, then he's a psycomaniac that sux

  • *coughs*Albedo's Bipolar*coughs* yeah uh-huh

  • Jr. Thanks you!!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • i feel really sorry for Albedo :C its kind of sad

Scott Manville has such an amazing voice

  • 4:28 holy $H!I KOS-MOS LOOKS WEIRD!

  • Comment removed

  • lol TAKE OUT UDO ALBEDO KICK IT KICK IT!

  • I would be like "Oh $#1T!!"

  • i love it when they freak out and scream! xD go Albedo!! nice! i like Nigredo's scream! ^.^

  • hahah xD albedo kicks the wave! haha

  • I laughed at that too xD !!!!

  • i know "what is this stuff?" "HA" *kicks wave*

  • poor albedo! its so sad

  • 2:05 is when it starts to get goooooood. x] I just LOVE IT when he blows off his head. xD

  • This is Sad, I feel bad for Albedo.

  • i love you, Albedo!

  • Oh Rubedo, where is your 666 at 6:23? >:[

  • Holy crap 623 O.O

thats the one that Albedo was beating the crap out of...

  • Because it was his regular in-game sprite, which didn't have as much detail as in the CG cutscenes.

  • Yeah, but still, it shouldn't be that much trouble to write a small tattoo on someone's hand.

  • I think it's totally ironic that Scott Menville plays Young Albedo (an antagonist) while Brianne Sidall plays Jr (a protagonist) when they're roles are completely opposite in Tales of Symphonia...(Brianne Siddall plays the younger version of the bad guy while Scott Menville plays the good guy).

  • @EmoNekoChan

Another ironic trivial. You'd never notice it, but Scott Menville is actually older than Crispin Freeman (only by a year, though).

  • @EmoNekoChan "Neeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!" But really how the hell do you know that? And why do you know that? I never pay attention to the voice acting unless it's something I hear repeatedly to the point of being annoying.

  • yeah cause Rubedo, Albedo and Negredo all have anti-UDO waves so the normal ones are the ones at risk of infection that and if the infection is to strong then yes they boys are at risk too.

  • All the yellow haired ones got infected

  • What is that red ball THE LINK?

  • U-DO

  • I feel like I'm watching a movie. XD

  • Hm... Kos-Mos has a telling look on her face too, when Ziggy gets all philosophical on them. XD

  • at times.

  • the black haired one sounds like a girl lol!

  • indeed xD

  • rubedo and albedo.....now thats real love right there!!!

  • The energy-ball decapitation makes a lot more sense than him magically having a pistol that somehow makes his entire head vanish.

  • Sorry, but I didn't say this:

    I love the game,

but the 1st Xenosaga is the best,

Xenosaga 3 looks like the best one,

but I'm stock in Xenosaga 2 stealing

    the Dinah,

by the way, you know how I can reach it?

    I hope you help me.

  • Ah, I love Albedo.

But I like him better while

    he is a child...

    Rubedo is cool,

    and Nigredo is like Albedo

    but he isn't insane.

Even though, I love insane people.

    Like Dio, from Last Exile.

  • Someone has father issues!

  • hey isnt nergio suposed to become infected or it what albedo said "watch out for his shadow that is why he isnt affected by the U-DO..?" and another question... why are all the U.R.T.Vs up to 665 the same and weaker?

  • Nigredo is not Affected.....Nigredo is not anti-U-DO.....umm, you'll have to play to get it figured out

And teh other URTVs are weaker because they are the standard units. They aren't Variants.

  • ooooooooh... i cant beat that girl in the one base (oragella or something) so i gave up... 288th try

  • If you have Email, i can send you my stratagy. I've beaten all 3 games.

  • yeah add me as friend first

  • 665 and below all form one collective conciousness, like a hive mind.

As for your other question...... well I COULD answer it but it might ruin the game for you. If you still want the answer though, I'll give it.

  • I wouldn't say that Albedo's circumstances led to his madness, so much as a most probably biological imbalance in his headspace (The guy is a nut, even before he learns this stuff). Still feel sorry for him because he's pretty much a scared little child, acting spiteful because he feels threatened by a universe he has trouble understanding.

  • I must be heartless, because I don't feel much sympathy for Albedo; I'm not a fan of 'childhood trauma = right to be a serial killer,' especially when the sociopathy's evident so early on. Rubedo says 'if you die, you can't come back,' but doesn't regeneration makes Albedo effectively immortal, and Rubedo's potentially immortal anyway? Really, Nigredo is the one with the short end of the stick here, and he's not freaking out over death or embarking on an epic path to becoming a maniac killer.

  • i agree XD

  • @wastedfrustration Rubedo can still die easily compared to Albedo. He can't regenerate and eventually he will age, though more like a midget. Albedo is mentally unstable. He would rather die than be alone. Except he can't die. He knows that he is destined to be alone. Try magnifying that loneliness felling by ten thousand and you'd be pretty messed up. Then UDO comes along and maginfies even that. The story tries to communicate that we couldn't possibly understand him because he is insane.

  • @AlbedoAtoned

Untrue. We CAN understand the story: It's given to us from start to finish. The fact remains that it doesn't matter how pwoh widdle Awbedo wants to BAWWWWWW about how BIG BROTHER WILL LEAVE ME... like every flippin' person in the universe has to deal with. If Albedo were a good person, he'd have neutralized himself long ago; the Xenosaga world has the ability to do so. He instead uses his ability to destroy not only innocent bystanders but the person he claims to love!

  • @wastedfrustration I said understand him. I said so because insanity tends to lack reason. And you must have missed the part where he blows his head off. Or how about the part where he cuts it off and stomps on it. Or when he was completely obliterated and he still regenerated. The only person who could kill him was Rubedo. How can you say he never tried when he clearly hadn't realized the magnitude of suicide. The sob story may not justify his actions, but he was insane, nevertheless.

  • nigredo is feeling like the OD 3rd wheel :x

  • wow thx for uploading this.. u know, this scene keeps on hanging on my ps2 so i skip this part and had proceed without knowing what happened.. and now i know why.. thnx.. =)

  • I got a little weepy when Albedo was crying, I must admit. Poor thing....

  • @jrm99002 i agree...

  • @jrm99002 I actually just teared up and Im usually a dry well.

  • Is that Nigel planter I hear?!XD

  • XD!

  • Dudes like Aniken or some thing!:O

  • T.T so many scenes like this in xenosaga II make me cry T0T

  • same here, albedo soo cool, but yet, i feel so sorry for him, i wouldn't want everyone around me to die, and me... be all alone...

  • I agree. Poor Albedo. Now, I really feel sorry for him.

By the way, I just LOVE Scott Menville's performance as young Albedo. His performance was so moving. I almost wanted to cry with him.

  • poor albedo, such a tortured soul
