I put this video just for fun after an improvisation rehearsal and my friend find this dubstep riff on his guitar so if i understand lots of people hates it because my title is writing "best solo guitar"i know that it's not the best video of this kind on youtube but i was testing to see if you were putting a title with the word "best" on it you get more view. The dislikes probably come from people paying too much attention to timbre** and thinking "This isn't dubstep."

The drum patterns were dubstep. The rhythm on the guitar was dubstep. A tad high on BPM, but I won't sweat you.

Improv or not, it was a decent crack at using actual instruments to create a dub-style section.

**Kinda hard for me to explain what this word means to those who don't know, but think of it as the difference between a flute and a guitar playing the exact same notes.

My damn 10 year old sister can tell you that different genres use different drum patterns. Dubstep is widely recognized for it's 3/4 beat, which puts extra emphasis on the already thick bassline. Sure, there are some songs that break the mold, just like not every rock band uses a guitarist. But you get the gist.

@BusymonkeyDK Everything is eventually a 4/4 beat. Repeat something in 13/8 long enough and you get 4/4, time signature has nothing to do with this. It's not dubstep and it's not DnB. All those genres of electric music are based on style and/or bpm. Example: DnB can get faster than 180bpm, but then do you think it would become speedcore or terrorcore? This video is industrial. Take electric music, add rock or metal and you get industrial.
