Dude, I've been trying to make a cartoon in south park style for the longest. This is AMAZING! It looks JUST like it! I know how to make the characters and evrything, but can you please tell me how to use After Effects to move their heads and all that?

@tink729 Well It's all about using parenting. I would move the anchor points for each body part, head, upper arm, lower arm, hand, etc. and then basically attach it to the adjoining part.... Man this would be easier to explain if I could just draw it....

Look up some parenting tutorials for more info on that. Should help. Once you've got that all set up you basically just hit the keyframes for rotation (NOT position) and then start animating to your hearts content.

@ilikemario8 I used Pro Tools to record the audio, then Photoshop to build the characters and sets. The After Effects to animate it.

1 2 3. Done... of course it took a few dozen hours or so.

I had toyed with the idea for about five seconds before discarding it. I went for something that was more like an alternate origin to the Transformers autobots vs. Decepticons war. Dating back to when they were all kids on vacation on earth.

I used my own voice primarily with minor pitch adjustments in Pro Tools. Glad you liked it, I want to make more but it's a lot of work to make these and I'm working full time right now AND I'm in school. Plus if I make a new one I want to make it better.

looked right but needs better voice work i tryed this same thing only with 2 kids fighting over a gameboy, instead of transformers in fact for a second i thought this happened in a episode lol until i heard the original characters voices. the bus lady sounded right though- good.

Thanks glad you liked it. It definitely wasn't easy getting the voices right for Cartman and Stan, and even then I know they aren't perfect. Even Ms. Crabtree is a little off, though I think I probably did best matching her voice. who knows, with practice, a few more animated south park style projects and I might get it.
