I know those comments are old but honestly I don't see any groups of athiest reaching out to help the world like Christians do. You can't receive love without accepting love first. I just sent off 15 boxes, before I bought my own children anything. They know that it is better to give than recieve, it's the Christian thing to do.
Also, I have another point to make. The people on the video are concerned that people hear about the love of God and are given hope. Is that such a bad thing? I would recommend doing more research on the project before passing judgment on the project. I got a letter once from the child I sent a box too, and I can tell you that there was nothing evil about the letter. Please do not take offense because that's not my goal. I am just stating my belief and experience with OCC.
Some people can't see the good in things and always see the evil. What's wrong with telling a child that God loves them? Is that evil too? You can't call this project all evil and even with an alterior motive, just think of the good, basic things the child is getting in the shoebox. We, in America, are rich and spoiled and forget that even the smallest item, like a toothbrush, is so important.
Hey, what have you done to help desperate children around the world? At least this project gives the kids hope through the shoebox. And I can definetly see the Evil in the project based on the smiles on the kids. Yea, you are absolutely right, this project is pure evil.
They are taking CHRISTmas gifts to kids. Alterior motive? It is called Operation CHRISTMAS Child. Sort out of out of the open and obvious. Helping those in need and bring them God's love are one and the same, sir, and your attacks are hatred - and that is what is evil.

This whole project is Evil the way it preys on vulnerable children with it's alterior motive which is proselytising.
