  • Metallica play it better.

  • @jordannw2010 what the fuck dude? you really can't compare those two..

  • @sk8poika you really can. metallica are better, this one is crappy. done.

  • I would love to hear the magnificent Jackie Evancho do this. A masterpiece, & with her voice--can you imagine?? Wolfsky9

  • oh my God!!!!!!!! Am just dumbstruck!!!! and tears of joy rolled over as the composition came to an end!!!!!!!!! Bravo Ennio!!!!!!!!!! I cant believe that he has not been bestowed even an academy award!!!!!!!!!!!!! probabbly the judges were all Dumbos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and A Million Thanks for uploading this Version Sir......

  • 20 people need to turn up their fuckin hearing aids.

  • Her voice could level an entire mall full of plastic barbie women and leave only an abundance of overpriced shoes.

  • This is my favorite version!

  • This song is in a sweet vid called plan b one year united check it out

  • @killamar5 yep dude, it had a nice remix from this song. the skating in that vid was awesome too!

  • Who the fuck could dislike this?

  • @Yallniggasbetrollin lol some people, this pure quality

  • 19 people don't know what the word "amazing" means

  • @bapear1 More like 19 people are tone deaf and don't know the great film this comes from and the even greater composer who wrote this masterpiece...Hey blondie this is great.

  • if you hear the song you feel like the new chuck norris

  • 1:38... and here they arise - MetallicA! :D

  • This is quite nerdy, but what key is this music in? Id like to work out my own version of this on guitar and it would be much easier if i knew what key it was in :)

  • @twasmuthguitarplayer the first chord is Aminor I believe... have fun :)

  • @projectmedia Cheers dude :)

  • Orietta is hot.

  • Majestic!!!!

  • I always wondered if those books that the choir used just had "Aaahhhhhhhh" or "Oooohhhhh" written in them...that'd be funny. But this piece of music is EPIC.

  • @mrich1976 Hahahaha :) i think the more important part would be the NOTES, not the words. haha.

  • Tuco Ramirez has 19 alts, and $100,000 with his hands tied behind his back.

  • This woman does it best

  • SO good. It's really amazing to get to see Ennio conduct his own music; it always feels fresh. Every video in which he's conducting, the tempo is slightly varied and it always feels epic. A lot of music only sounds as 'epic' within a specific range of tempo marking, but no matter how fast or slow you take this song it gives you shudders!

  • In this world there’s two kinds of people; Those with loaded guns and those who dig. Apparently 18 people have to dig.

  • @jawb0nes Best comment in youtube history right there.

  • Genius

  • Ok, for what it's worth, despite some of the comments to the contrary, this vocalist, Orietta sings the part much, much truer to to the original singer, Edda Dell'Orso's original on the movie soundtrack. While the singer that everybody comments so nicely about ( usually seen in the red dress) does not provide the nuances needed on the fast sticcato parts. She sings it too fast and not entirely accurate. Compare both Susanna's and Orietta's to the original.Good job, Orietta. Bravo!!

  • @sasander7 I completely agree. I've just tripped over this version and I must say that Orietta gets much closer to Edda Dell'Orso's vocal range and delivery than other versions I've seen.

  • @sasander7 Both are epic in my opinion. Music when done well, you don't care if it varies a bit. Great vocalists can make a piece their own.

  • So glad they could get a shot of the English Horn Player playing his solo at the beginning, You know not until the last like 5 seconds that he was playing. WTG production team. Awesome music. Bad Video

  • Metallica! \m/

  • Yes, the red dress girl is much better....

  • its tuco

  • mmm.. search this: Ennio Morricone - a - El Extasis del Oro . a woman with a red dress.. it's much better! ;D

  • lol she is looking her sheets for the lyrics

  • @xenoz845 No dummy, she is reading her notes and following the timing.

  • Wonderfull !

  • Comment removed

  • Polish teli - quality of record is very, but not because of person who recorded it, but, because of polish teli.

  • el magnifico!! absolute pure genius from the master, Ennio Morricone. what is the name of the soprano singing the main part?

  • scuddman is spot on

  • Hades may be the ruler of the underworld, Posidon may be the ruler of the seas, Zeus may be the ruler of the heavens....But, Ennio Morricone is the ruler of the universe!

  • metallica version is SO better

  • @alevd14 Fail. this is the original version, and obviously, a cover CANNOT be better than the original

  • @LuisRamirez666

First of all, he never said he didn't think this was the original version.

Second, he was stating his opinion.

Third, a cover is a tribute to the original. It's for the listener to determine if they personally think it's better than the original.

So, I've come to the conclusion that you and the person above you are both idiots.

I personally think this one's more melodic, but I like the heaviness in the cover.

  • @ShdowSora he said "VERSION" not "cover" like he should have said.

i know he was stating his opinion (did i told him he could start his?)

a cover, can never, never, never be better than the original. so learn something about covers and stuff.

btw, roy, im just stating my opinion ok?

  • @LuisRamirez666 That's somewhere where we differ. I believe it's the listeners choice if they feel a cover is better than an original.

    But that's just my opinion.

  • @LuisRamirez666 "Hurt" by Johny Cash and "All along the watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix are better than original versions. Trent Reznor said it, that "Hurt" is no longer his after he heard Cash's version.

  • @alevd14 Idiot....epic fail!

  • A part of that is gonna go in my Windows XP when i turn On my computer, God they are good !!!!!!!!! Gives me goosebumps .

  • By far the best live version on here,...and what a Hot MILF she is,

  • does anyone else find so unbelivably fantastic that a group of people, ie the orchestra above, can come togeather in cohesion and produce something so perfect that it almost seems that we have no right to be able to do so???? I just have no idea how these people do this, and I'm a sound engineer by trade!???

  • whow!!!!

  • This song was played on the 7th day, when God rested and gazed upon his creation.

  • @nicto87 Well said.

  • Ennio Morricone ha rappresentato con onore e rispetto l'Italia in tutto il mondo ......peccato che l'Italia non lo meriti

  • Everytime I win, or do something really good in life this song starts playing at max volume. For real!!

  • like! Like! LIKE!!!

  • couldnt lace susanna rigacci's corset far better singer and looker

  • metallica!!!!!

    ennio morricone!!!!!!!

    best of both worlds!

  • anyone who gets within twenty feet of chuck norris hears this ringing in their ears!!!!!!!!!!

  • A Masterpiece--As Mr Sinatra once said, " You can wait around & hope, but you'll not ever see--or hear--the likes of this again". Wolfsky9

  • And who says my genration doesnt listen to good music. Im living fucking proof.

  • afert Creeping death

  • CRACKWOOD , CRACKWOOD , CRACKWOOD..... AHAAHAHHA..HAHAH A H

  • Pos conocedor de la instrumental no soy, vine a dar con este video por Metallica, jajaja.. me siento tan ignorante :O suena bien la pieza.

  • Talk about mad bitch s shit, inmagine been inbed with her she would blow your ears out when she climaxed,.-sic. - thee hheee heehhee snigger nigger.

  • Orietta Manente and Susanna Rigacci seem to have significantly different renditions of this piece. Orietta's version here seems more similar to the original recording; Susanna sings it with such passion. Both are spectacular.

  • Great Song, great Performers and a very great Composer

  • check out CRACKWOOD. inspired by the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, and Ennio Morricones profound music. how lucky we all are.

  • Just beautifule!! And think of "Tuco",... He is still alive.....

  • beautiful song. emotion

  • He really should be mentioned with Beethoven,Mozart and Bach. He's the best composer I know. He has written over 500(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) film soubdtracks. I think I heard the half of them and they are all great. I think that any person has heard something from Ennio Morricone, but the most don't know that the music they heard is from him.

  • The epicness of this song is OVER 9000!!!!

  • proud to be italian, thank you Mr. Ennio Morricone.

  • magnifique

  • "Two thousand Dollars and some in gold, that is tudy sum, but when I am paid I always follow my job through, you know that!!!

  • Grazie Signore Morricone!

  • Bravo!

  • James sings it better :P:P:P:P

  • nice interpertation,...

  • This is just pure manna from heaven for the ears, shivers on my spine everytime I listen to this, the man is one the greats

  • isnt the piano and that horn a bit fast ?

  • Perfect! ...

  • they must be nervous cause its playing just that little bit faster than the original

  • @MrFunnyEd I agree with you! It's just a bit too fast!

  • @johnmik67 Given that Morricone composed the piece AND is conducting, he can do whatever hell he pleases.

  • @MrFunnyEd these guys are proffesionals so they dont get nervous lol the conductor must have wanted to take it a little quicker.

  • probablemente las peliculas de sergio leone no serian lo mismo si estas canciones, son geniales, el mejor musico del siglo XX y por lo visto tmb del siglo XXI

  • At 1:54, Orietta Manente is angelic. This music is sublime.

  • At 1:54, Orietta Manette is angelic . This music is sublime.

  • nedmarzxl, I'm really not quite sure how to put this, but you are obviously seriously misinformed. Ennio Morricone composed the entire "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly soundtrack" himself, including the main theme that everyone is familiar with and the piece "The Ecstasy of Gold" which is it's own separate music composition, not borrowing any passages from the main theme. Ennio composed more than 400 soundtracks, so yes, he is a prolific writer and a genius composer. Your facts were incorrect sir

  • i'll definitely attend if he ever comes to Southern Cal.

  • simplemente el mejor

  • god send his son enrico to earth and telled him . GIVE THEM MUSIC

  • One of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard, masterfully performed.

It is time that people realize Ennio needs to be mentioned with Beethoven, Mozart and Bach, not Diane Warren or any of the people writing trash pop songs that are used in movie soundtracks.

  • i agree

  • @montraix i am with you hearing this makes me feel something
