  • they should've played this during the war with Iraq

  • The last half of this song creeps the hsit out of me.

  • knock knock knock TIME TO GO

  • 0:14 explosion!!! amazing! magnificent! fucking brilliant! no words to describe the feeling i get when i listen to this...how can something make you feel so sad yet so happy and angry and alive! but empty at the same time? who can move you to tears make you want to scream and laugh all at once!? Only Pink Floyd!!

  • My dad took me to see Roger Waters do this live a while ago, and until I saw the show live, I always thought this song was a little out of place compared to the rest of the album. But I've never cried harder in my entire life then when he performed this. The pictures, the graphics, the band, and his face--it was all so glorious, and yes, even that's an understatement.

  • ever notice how "Comfortably Numb" never comes up directly as a suggestion once you finish playing this version of this song? (at least not from the same user) I'm not sure, but methinks KMRakaKaT may be very wise kitty for doing this. sometimes people's mental state + this album is dangerous... i applaud you for allowing a "cool down" period here. p.s. MRNOT DUCKS!

  • @immortalmollusk sometimes "people's mental state + this album is dangerous".. so true.

  • TIME TO GO! TIME TO GO! TIME TO GO! TIME TO GO!

  • I've seen the movie so many times, but everytime I see it on the tv guide, I watch it

  • Saw the movie in 1982 at the cinema. This particular theater had advanced sound for

the time.It was a double feature with "Quadrophenia",can you believe that?!

Funny thing is not many people were there, maybe 10.

I was at the same theatre when starwars showed there and it was practically standing room only. That was years earlier. Art does occur in daily life and this one kind of looks like a Floydian contrast of "likes" and"dislikes".

  • Follow ing the hurse to my paps funeral as it backed up to unload him this song came on in the car it was really sad

  • this gave me goosebumps. < 3

  • saw him last night played the who album. wonderul

  • this song is great live

  • amazing live

  • agreed this is great live

  • Roger did this great live.

  • When they play this song live, they have this video of a little girl in a classroom, and you just see her face. And all of a sudden she starts crying, and she jumps up and run around the table, and when the camera turns you see her jump into her dad's arms.

And he's in an army uniform.

    I cried.

  • @Nerdfighter21 oh yea, many people were, I think that was the most emotional clip. Saw Roger here in Vegas. Greatest concert I've been to.

  • This is EXTREMELY epic when it's done live. Roger screams his lungs out, and down here in Florida, everyone stood up as the song reached it's climax. Truly one of the anthems for peace in the world.

  • whoever doesn't like this song is a moron. LOL

  • @austin27332 I am a moron. Yes, I knew it!

  • I got goosebumps when I saw this song played during the wall 2010 tour, and I still get goosebumps thinking about that moment.

  • @toby56 I wanted to see that concert so bad! instead I went out and bought The Wall album...lol.

  • I love how he sings with it. I find it so twisted and demented, and beautiful.

  • @businesschic24

i feel the exact same damn way.

  • all the songs are matched..

  • at the 2010 MSG show, this song was so amazing, it almost brought tears to my eyes.

  • @ageofquarrel123 it did bring tears to my eyes at the Roger Waters show last week.

  • Even though this song is really short, and by many considered among "the filler" of the album, It was in my opinion one of the best and most dramatic songs during the concert(I went to the Chicago show on 9-21-10), it might be that I've always liked this song for some reason... and you know what's coming up after it, so there's always that anticipation : )

  • @PerezRiosguitar I went to his Cleveland concert at the Q and this song was amazing!

  • i am tired of seeing thumbs down on good music i am tired of loading my shotgun

  • I went to the Roger concert on yesterday he sung this song and i was blown away (which lasted pretty much the whole time) but this song Mother, The Wall prts, The Trial, Hey you and well god dang it all! ROGER WATERS IS A GENIUS

  • Pink is hallucinating at this point, but he snaps out of it (in a way) and realizes he's alone. The memories of what drove him to build the wall come back and play in his head in this awful recurring loop, from the school teacher's mocking "Wrong! Do it again!", the operator asking "Are you ok?", the groupie attempting to make contact, and his manager's constant knocking at his hotel room door saying "Time to go!". He makes one more attempt to contact those outside the wall, knowing he can't.

  • WROONG DO IT AGAIN

    Time to GO!

    Are you feeling okay?

    Is there anybody out there?

  • bush should have taken floyds advice

  • @supah1337B because there's a bunch of asshat republicans in congress promoting deadlock in his propositions

  • BEST. ALBUM. EVER.

  • i wish this song was longer

  • lonely calls for help are leading up to the point where the crooked doctor is going to inject him with drugs so that he can make it back onto the stage.

  • Lot of thumbs downed comments here. Let's try to be civil, folks. This sone is a little more abstract... in the movie it definately relates to the war, and the snare drums definately sound like a war march, but the montage of sounds seems to be the key for the song itself. Think also of the double meaning with his mother (bring the boys back home) and the fact that this song precedes comfortably numb. The swelling of the haunting noises of his childhood and the culmination of his...

  • I do not understand this song...

  • @Snakemast345

Once again, its about war. His dad died in the war.

  • you must be used to not understanding things

  • @Snakemast345 What is there to understand. It's music.

  • Fucking Kids, get off this Video, have some respect for Pink Floyd.

  • people squaking back-and-forth like a little old married couple...precious..

  • @ruler1978. Just stfu. I don't have to deal with a 31 yr old having a pussy fit on a fucking youtube video page.

  • time to go. the show must go on.

  • If you listen closely in the background you can hear Toni Tenille from the captain and Tenille singing backup. Weird

  • This would have been a good protest song if this album was released during the Vietnam War

  • truely i think this can be said about any war and the casulties that go along with it

especially the kids who have parents over seas

  • this song makes my heart flutter for some reason... mebbe its the vocals

  • I think this - especially in combination with Vera - is a really amazing song. The way the backing vocals just drop out, turning from triumph to agony, is genius.

  • PINK FLOYD THE WALL 30 AÑOS

  • Bring them all home and let's stop paying to maintain bases across the entire planet - WE CAN"T AFFORD IT ANY MORE.

  • also just because its wrong! forget the money part

  • this is the best pink floyd song ever! it always gives me a feeling of awe, his choir is amazing!

  • I agree. none of my friends like it though

  • And our boys came home. The last 12 diggers have left Iraq. It's over for Oz.

  • PINK FLOYD RULES

  • I love the cinematic feel. <3

  • Yes, a true classic lp and movie. I remember watching this in college back in 85, for about a year straight!!! I think that this needs to be the theme song for the soldiers in Iraq!!! It's time to come home!!!! Thanks for the tunes!!! Carry ON!

  • @am2boni totally agree

  • @am2boni ha, read my mind with the Iraq thing.

  • @am2boni fuck you you are a liberal jew rat if we didnt fight this war the fucking terrosrists would be burning your house and raping ur wife

  • @basketcasse WOW...I'm not even going to bother with you, after all you're just one of the bricks.

  • @basketcasse Why do we need them back, Hussein is dead. Also, if you call me a liberal, I'll laugh because I'm a Conservative.

  • @basketcasse that is a LIE!
