I always curious to see Jorg Buttgereit's movies, I only manage to see Death King and part Nekromantik 2, now without indenpent video places withour vhs...impossible to find Buttgereit's films or other uncommon films.

This has a weird ending but overall it was not bad at all. The gore effects were alright some you could tell was fake like his leg, but obviously the nail in the penis scene was just fucking crazy. Some of the synthesized atmospheric music was creepy, acting was alright nothing too emotional, and the movie runs at a good pace it's not that long only an hour. You definitely get to spend a long time with the mind of serial killer. I give it a solid 7.5 out of 10

I'm actually not big into the whole horror genre actually, this was just a dare and I watched it with a friend. I get tired of torture...

But this wasn't that bad its actually kind of interesting, I dislike horror that's just in your face constantly. Necromantik was kind of the same, I like horror with a brain so yea this movie was ok...

Except with District 9 (with horrific parts), Zombieland (horror/comedy) and a few others, Hollywood is remaking things like it's no tomorrow.

Let The Right One In or Martyrs should have been released into general theatres as they had some daring to them.

Indeed cathartic, wich scares me a little bit.

I think the director wasn´t scared to think like "well, if i were tormented to the point of killing people what would i do? yes, maybe hammer!! this would unleash my anger, not frigin bullets."

I also like Santa Sangre, wich is very diferent, but i think deals with the serial killer metafora trough some simbolic freudish aspects. heha

Schramm is a good film. Its not a gorefest mor anything. More of a thinking mans film, but still very much worth watching. And it does have a couple of priceless moments i.e. the red mark on his undies. But needless to say if you are a bit squeemish..,better be ready to prepare yourself.
