I work at a school and it's really hard to stop bullying. Mainly cos the kids don't tell you what's happening until its really bad. That said in some situations I've told kids to look after them selves by hitting back if needed, or defending them selves verbally. It doesn't stop till the victim decides it stops, no matter what intervention we put in place.

And I get that the suicide rate has increased and all that but to me, that's just making the next generation of Americans pussies! I think bullying can be both a positive and negative interaction, depending on the situation. I go to a single sex school and I have been at the receiving end of bullying and I think personally it has made me a stronger person.
