Do you ever go out and perform? I regularly play around my town, and it's one of my biggest personal road blocks to transition. While I might be able to do a female voice, I know I could never sing in a female tone, and I'm worried it would ruin me!

@aufleurr Yeah this was a big concern and a big regret in al honesty. i am glad that i transitioned, but i miss being confident and proud of my singing voice. i tell people that i cant sing and that i am tone deaf now rather than sing a song that i love and can belt in a male voice. sucks, but its a choice that we have to make.

It makes me wonder about people like La Roux, and David Bowie - I feel like, had they not had the commercial success, they may have transitioned. I really appreciate your honest straight forward answer, and it pretty much echoes all my thoughts and fears on it. I just wonder if I should care.. Because I know what will make me happy. So maybe I'll be the chick who sings like a boy? Herb and music, I'll think more

i too like your voice but it's unfamiliar to me, you know your ease with your male voice.i study music too but every time i open my mouth to sing it's so painfull emotionally :/ doesn't it remind you of things you've tried to forget about yourself? ..

lol ive heard more than plenty of Genetic woman who sing way deeper than you do. ive also heard manly men sing extremely high pitched. so you are fine fitting right in the middle. not manly or femanine.
