i see that you have got orange amps too...i am between this one and an orange dual terror.which of the two would you recommend?(i play blues, classic and hard rock, not metal)
This is all about money...where does musicianship come into it? It's a sick joke, particularly when you hear the kind of prices being asked for equipment these days.
wow that amp sounds really good, i think im gonna buy one but can you turn the distortion off and just get a clean tone and use a tube screamer for the distortion
excellent demo, thanks bro. id love to see some neck pup beyond the 12th fret soloing to get a complete picture, but the best demo of this ive seen. As others have said, not flashy, not too much preamble, just good tones. cheers.
I have a friend who didn't care for my rebel 20 full stack.I admit ,it did sound like crap when he played my les paul custom on it,and my E.S.P KH-2.Then I looked at his settings. He had the bright switch on,the treble at 1 o clock, and the bass down low with gain cranked all the way. NO SHIT. My point is,you have to use the controls on the amp. That is why they are there !To many people plug in,and cant find the perfect sound in 30 seconds and get frustrated with an amp.Just relax man!
I don't think many if any computer speakers can do justice to an amps sound for a demo, but it did help me decide to buy one. I like combining the egnater's closed back cab and the epiphone jr's open back together. I'm really happy with this amp and those cabs together.
I wanted to thank you for this video mate. It realy shows the different nuances the amp gives just from your guitar, whithout tweaking the amp and it wasn't the tipical "Ma, look what I can do!"
thanks a bunch mate! I´m now leaning much more towards the Egnator than any other tiny head in the market.
My grandfather's company made the whole new line of egnater amps.. So I was wondering if you liked it? I just got the halfstack. Didn't get to play yet
interesting idea to combine a 6v6 with an el84.I hear more of the 6v6.There's a guy with a valve jr modded by mercury to add a 6v6 to the juniors el84.Very similar sound.
me too, les pauls sound like they have natural crunch. Its hard to tell what sound I would get with it using a strat. I love clean sounds, funky cleans (although i dont play funk), light overdrive. I cant believe any amp would come without reverb. Can you hear yourself over the drums, bass, and vocals?
Notice how this gent creates several gorgeous tones from his guitar rig....all by working the pickup/volume/tone controls of the instrument itself. Not to mention he's got all the great tones covered in his electric guitar arsenal...Les Paul, Telecaster and Stratocaster. In my humble....along with great chops, these are the signs of a seasoned musician.
Of all the youtube demos I've seen on this amp, this one is by far the best! Great sounding setup....nice job!
The amp sounds much better than that actually..

Sounds fan freakintastic, I'm getting a 3gnater for sure, just don't know if I should go for head or combo, any thoughts, people?
dyingforastrat 2 years ago
the Rebel 30 is cool because it has a seperate clean and overdrive channel which this does not.... add a egnater 1x12 cab.... your good

how are you getting a clean tone and a dist tone at the same time with out a footswitch??? just by overdriving it all the waty to 10?
shrek101 2 years ago
I'm using the volume controls on my guitar.. The amp itself was set pretty much with the master and gain all the way up.

Great demo man. I owned a Tiny Terror and I have to agree, the Egnater Rebel 20 seems a lot more versatile.

Good demo, not only for the amp, but for the right use of volume on guitar. Appreciated comments too (ahh, the TT...).
Would like to hear you with a strat, same settings.
