Yeah, the AX-7 isn't for big, complex piano pieces, but that's okay because I don't play that kind of thing. I can't really play it with two hands when I'm wearing it anyway.
I will get a big synth when I can afford one and I'll use that for any two-handed stuff. Look at Henrik Klingenberg live, he uses the AX-7 for riffs and solos and simple stuff and then goes over to his synth when hes playing with two hands.
BUt why did u buy a roland AX-7 (is a roland right? i use it and looks like it) and not other synth? u had to buy a synth like a korg n364 or somethin' and just there u buy a midi controller :P
Cubase is not that good I have some synths and a computer with cubase and reason.. u cannot compare cubase with a real synth with a computer procesor inside just for music..
you should buy a synth module or somethin.. cubase its pretty poor, specially on leads and that kind of stuff.. if u want to make techno music or somethin' like that maybe will be more useful.

You can use software synthesizers with cubase to create your own patches so yes, you can get them to pretty much exactly how you want them. I know a proper synthesizer would be better which is why I said "some of the best", not just "the best". Obviously I will buy a synth at some point but I'm not made of money.
Half of it's probably the quality of the webcam, but yeah it is pretty poor. That was running through my cheap Yamaha, before I had the stuff I needed to connect it to my PC.
I now have it running through Cubase SX so I have access to some of the best patches in existence, as well as the ability to make my own. :)

the Ax-7 is really cool midi controller but u may need somethin with more keys sometime..
if u want to play some piano stuff or some song from another band other than Sonata Arctica... ...
Have you tested the M audio 88 midi controller? or maybe the one I use too.. an Axiom 61 very cool controller to use my jv1080... check them out ;)

Yes it is an AX-7. I got that because I could afford it and because I'm never going to need a better MIDI controller than that.
If I bought a £300 synth It wouldn't be good enough in the long term and I'd end up spending more money on another one in the future.
