To be honset the sophisticated side of me likes the heroic/antiheroic Bogart while the guilty pleasure side likes the villainous Bogart even more. I just think when he was playing rats he showed off alot of emotions: meanness, kindness, fear, and surprise.
Two superb tough guys - all New York. Cagney is fast and feisty, and not afraid of anyone. Bogart is a cold, mean killer. It was so great seeing these guys face to face. Too bad Edward G. Robinson wasn't in this film as well, to round things out as the big boss.
