@nessea91 My hair is way too thin and soft to produce any form of dread. If I opted for thicker dreads, I'd only have a few. I think synthetics are the best for me as it allows me to have a somewhat "dread" look without the commitment. I also think my mother would kill me!!!
but its true, you look like shit, how can she be so careless? would be better to start to monitor its appearance and does not hold itself up to ridicule and dreadlocks, too horrible.
@SmileCharly bUt LyK oMg LyK I'M lYk So SaD dAt a NoBudDy H4t3z M3!!11 Wahh. Stop crying when you look in the mirror every morning wishing you looked better.
@SmileCharly I might take you seriously if you could form a coherent sentence. Your grammar makes me disregard any opinion you have... I hope it does the same for others.
@Dino5aurs Yes, but it's a bit different. You can wash your roots, not the dreads themselves. Your hair doesn't get dirty with synthetic dreads in because it's braided in. And yes! As long as your hair is at least 3" long, you can wear dreads. Just make sure to band up the braid where you start getting your layers poking out and you won't have to worry about it :)
@DagGirl Oh okay thankyou so much! :] Oh and can you make a video about braiding the dreads in, because I just cant get the dreads in tight enough, if you can that would be fantastic! Great videos by the way hehe. thanks xoxo
@Dino5aurs It takes practise to braid dreads in. I have a playlist of an install video series by somebody else, which is amazingly effective and easy to follow.
I'm not personally going to make another video, because it's too much work.
I have one video, however, where it shows me braiding quickly. :)
love your hair and have just watched a bunch of your videos on how to's etc, found them really helpful thanks, never really thought about doing this to my own hair but its definitely appealling to me more now I have probably missed the boat a bit as i am 34 but **** it. keep up the good work x
Thank you, but age shouldn't stop you from wearing dreads/other sorts of fake hair! I have friends that are a generation older than me that wear falls. It's not about age, it's about how you feel when wearing them. You just need the right visionary to help you through the process of designing fake hair to your needs. Not everything suits everyone, but things can definitely be done to suit you! I hope you pursue it and it can also be a fun hobby :D
hello im not completely sure why im posting this on this video...but anyway i was wondering if there is some sort of prmanent dread extention kit that isnt too expensive cuz i am thinkin bout dreadin my hair this summer but theres no way it will be as long as im hoping it will....please reply!! thANKIES!! ^_^
Can be done, but this is for a permanent dread method (not synthetic semi permanent like I wear). Basically you dread (preferrably the crochet method) your hair, then have extenders made up in your hair colour from human hair, dread those up as well and crochet where the joins are. I will PM you ways of doing it. You can definitely give it a go yourself, but if you're scared, seek professional advice.
The pink that you mixed in with all the mermaid colors really makes your hair POP. It looks fan freakin' tastic!! I have some really cool roving dreads that Ashbet made for me years ago when she was still doing psysheep. They are still holding up. WAY CUTE- your hair looks great. I like all the different textures that you used. Beautiful.
Roving wool (get Merino wool) is available on ebay, from shearing guilds or, if you want to find unique dyed wool, try etsy!
Roving dreads are available from a few sellers. If you're in the UK, search for The Cute Alternative (I can't think of anyone else right now!). I'm unsure of any roving sellers in the US, but an Australian based Jungle Dread (I have a fantastic set from her) does roving and is in US dollars.
I really don't know how much to buy. All I know is that I got 8 shoulder length THICK DE's from 80g. They were like 1" in diametre. I guess if you split the wool in half, you can get 16 medium length dreads.
Ever think of real dreds?

Can you wash your hair with the dreads in your hair? Can you have synthetic dreads in your hair, if your hair is very layered??
