  • Anybody out there have any pictures of Ronald Eidsons 55chevy White..He used to run at Englishtown alot. Was from Woodbridge...

  • My Cousin Gary Kroboth had a blown fuel 421 Pontiac Dragster that ran out of Linden NJ at this time and Englishtown was his home track. Anybody remember? He was top eliminator a few times and had the trophies to prove it.

  • OMG! I think I was actually at this very race! In my far away memories I still remember this day because as a ten year old, it was the first time I saw a Drag Race! I was ruined for life after that. I most definitely remember the pretty yellow gold '41 Willys Coupe at :33, and I have a picture taken with a brownie camera of the grey-ish altered wheelbase Mopar, I believe a '65 Dart. I remember the Rails lighting the 'hides all the way down the strip.

  • Wow brings back memories. A full three years before I first went to Englishtown. You can see the huge anchor bolts for the 4 light towers that had not been installed yet, Salvaged from the new your worlds fair entrance. They have been gone many years now but were in front of the pit side stands. I was surprised not to see any dragsters filmed being push started down the "fire up road" in front of the pit side stands.

  • Anyone remember a 41 studebaker all orange, named orange aid? 327 w/ hilborn fuel injection, 12.0's @120 all day. Butch Thomas, that was my dad. I'm looking for any info or stories on the car. He raced maple grove, e-town, Atco was the home track. He had a room full of trophies, so hopefully someone will remember.

  • man.. i remember those days.. technology came on like a tornado!.. every day there was something newer. .and faster. at that time the funny cars were just getting going.. like super-stocks on acid.. lol

  • People need to learn how to use the camera a whole lot better even when it was used back in the sixties.

  • Rush and old school draggin' from NJ doesnt get much better! Thanks for posting this-Awesome!

  • Thanks for sharing - excellent choice of music ... gone are the days of old, lets make some memories for our children to wow after. There was a lot of personal sweat and involvement in each car that ran - that we don't have time or patience for now. Lesson (should be) learned. - Again, Thanks!

  • Notice there's 5 ambers on the tree..

  • Very Cool! Thank you for posting.

  • Great video. This has been my home track since I have started racing. Its amazing to see how things used to be vs. now.

If you have any more of ETown, throw em up.

  • I've got some from the 80's and 90's. I'll post them when I can.

  • Man how it's changed! I know a few 'Vette guys who race frequently there on the weekends. It must have been something else racing there then! It's world class now...but also ALWAYS crowded.

Finally, I'm 37, and if you told me 10 years ago, hot little girls with their tummies showing/target tats on the lower back would be driving 10 second honda civics, I would never have believed you! Times, how they change.

Great video, thanks for letting us reminisce!
