Oh, also I don't mean Pearl Jam or Alice In Chains are quintessence of whole grunge music and bands that hand an influence into the grunge boom and were an original bands, I just mean what's for me this band.

Well, I don't like this CD. Silverchair were a band for me that jumped into a grunge train, as a looklike they are Nirvana, and the way of music on 1st album it is just Pearl Jam-Soundgarden-kinda like sound, and on 2nd album it is something like Alice In Chains mixed with heavy, speed distortion. I mean they're just grunge wannabees, they long, entangled hair and dirty stuff with variable dynamics of songs is something that happened before them as an original way of music.

@whoisyouranime I haven't heard Young Modern the whole way through. I liked what I heard, though I sort of consider the Young Modern Silverchair, and the Frogstom/Freak Show/Neon Ballroom Silverchair different entities. I LOVED Diorama... though I listened to it too much as a new release and I still haven't recovered haha.

Great video. I love Freak Show. It was a time when Grunge was God. Slave was my favorite song on this album. You are right, they did more experimenting on this album and I thought that was great. Interesting story on how you got the album. What do you think of the latest album, Young Modern?
