God I hate the new chargers wtf was dodge thinking when they made the new one!!?! They did such a good job on the challenger. I'm also a huge ford man and I love all OLD CHEVYS 50s-70s

and always had a place in my heart for dodge. Look at the past 8 years of the mustangs they looked great and still had the power. I've owned a 07 Shelby GT and now a 11 5.0. Whenever I've lost inspiration working on my own '70 500, this clip has been the cure (well, this clip and watching "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry"/"Death proof")... And three days ago I finally got to lay down some rubber of my own, albeit with an open differential :-)

68bobba, you are correct about the 69 Charger 500, however in 1970 the 500 model became just an upgraded trim version without any real performance upgrades.

Looks like a Charger 500 based on the taillight trim and lack of door scoops. Largest motor they came with stock was a 383. Though a bigger one can always be added after the fact, like it was on mine.

@mrrenison You got it - it's a Charger 500 and was originally a 383 car. When we bought it out of a barn in Washington state, it had the 440 in it but didn't run. It runs well now. :)
