@oompax88 Counter play might have to be some sort of clam, which usually means the front two or three defenders in the stack share cutters and make sure someone takes the break cut or allow one defender to take whoever cuts in. This clam could be front to back instead, with a front defender taking the cut closest to the disc, while someone else takes whoever goes deepest.
@brodiesmith21 you have a great heart for the sport! i forgot to mention, thanks to you've helped me learn how to flick and backhand properly (plus get down the basic of hammering and thumbering) in just three days, and got me insanely addicted with Ultimate. thanks sooo much brodie!
@brodiesmith21 Yeah!! Its cool mate, over here in Spain I dont know about Frisbee PRO Sport yet... =( They are all only interested in Football or what you guys call Soccer .
Awesome play. Just a quick question. Since I have only played pick up games of ultimate with my friends I dont really understand what stacks are. Could you create a video explaining stacking or like the strategies used? Game examples and diagrams would be cool.
@kg1292 Hi, not to intrude- but there are two basic stacks, a vertical stack and a Horizontal stack. a Vertical stack is the one that was used in this video.. and horizontal stack is when they are horizontal to your vison. Usual movements of Horizontal stack is upfield and downfield whilst Vertical stacks are usually through the sides- In this case They used a vertical stack where every other player split in opposite directions except for the front of the stack who busted long.
My team does a similar play except we only have 5th & 4th go opposite directions and 3rd go deep, that way we still have two people in the stack in case the play breaks down somehow.
@MrIJustWatch haha, yeah most of the teams we've played have the same play. everyone calls it something different though. you'd think that with so many teams running it, people would know it's coming.
@brodiesmith21
I joined ultimate at my school about a month ago at Marcus High School. and we won state last year.(texas) do you do any tournaments in Texas?

Brodie always cuts it so close when he lifts up his pivot right as he throws. I'm sure people call him for travelling all the time.
